"What is that?"

Seeing the enormous gate appear before them, everyone stared in confusion, then turned to look at Chen Cheng.

Chen Cheng turned to the Tan brothers.

The brothers didn't hesitate. They hurried to the gate and pressed their palms against it. Vein-like tendrils, like the aerial roots of a plant, sprouted from their hands and quickly spread across every inch of the gate.

As Treasure Hoarders, the Tan brothers naturally had a set of secret techniques all their own.

Yet after feeling around the gate, they discovered that it didn't have a single crack.

"No seams?"

Shanyuan and Shanming exchanged glances.

Then Shanyuan leaned against the gate while Shanming drew his hands together and clenched them into fists. The muscles in his arms writhed and merged, transforming into a massive flesh hammer. He swung it hard against the gate.

But even though the brothers were Upper Roots and had put every last bit of their strength into it, the gate didn't budge. It didn't even make a sound.

Now even the Tan brothers were starting to feel baffled.

For a moment, they suspected the whole thing was a sham—that this wasn't a gate at all, and that whatever lay behind it was solid stone.

"Looks like we'll have to use some of our signature tricks." Shanyuan fished a handful of black sand from his pocket and scattered it over the stone gate.

The brothers then took out the bronze discs they had used earlier when attacking Xiao Ran. Standing on either side of the gate, they pointed the discs at it and rotated them to a specific angle. The discs began to hum.

Before long, the humming grew louder, and visible ripples appeared in the air.
