When Kosuke opened his eyes, he found himself hanging from the ceiling.
In just a few seconds, he regained his composure. Rather than making any sudden moves, he first surveyed his surroundings.
It was a basement resembling a prison cell, filled with all kinds of torture implements. Judging by the fresh crimson bloodstains on them, they seemed to have been used not long ago.
"There's no one nearby. It looks like it's safe for now." Once he confirmed that, Kosuke prepared to break free.
Though he was bound to the ceiling and weighed down by heavy handcuffs and shackles, he was not panicked in the slightest.
After all, aside from Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu, a qualified ninja had many mandatory lessons to master, such as the simplest escape techniques.
"Honestly, I'm already an old man, and they still want me bullying these newcomers."
Thinking of the Third Hokage's instructions gave Kosuke a headache. "He said he wanted the ninja from other villages to see how formidable Konoha's Genin are. They aren't idiots. It'd be strange if they believed that."
Though he was known as the Eternal Genin, Kosuke was not one because he was foolish, nor because he had shortcomings in any particular area.
