Uchiha Sōgetsu completed a psychological therapy quest and received a notebook that could record extraordinary abilities, then accepted a mission to investigate Kirigakure and Iwagakure’s plans for war. The tailed beast interception battle began as Biwa Juzo and Uchiha Sōgetsu confronted Isobu and Raiga Kurosuki. Sōgetsu revealed that his objective was the Mizukage, leaving Raiga shocked by the prospect of war.

• Biwa Juzo charged Isobu and struck his shell with the Kubikiribōchō, but the blow barely marked it and Isobu blasted him into the lake.
