After a whole day of running around, I finally got home. The old house was in disrepair, with low ceilings, cobwebs, and dust everywhere. I'd spent the whole evening cleaning before I could finally sit down. Looking at the gray walls painted sometime last century, waiting for Dad to get off the night shift so I could open the door and turn on the lights for him, I felt an inexplicable sense of calm. I really liked this feeling. I'd write a little more tonight. Sweet dreams, everyone.
