Ch. 1631Zhi Feng Gourd

Xu Yi obtained three Zhi Feng Gourds to store large quantities of water and headed toward Three Flower Sea. He then learned that Lord Lu had erased his official registration to protect him from an investigation into Princess Yinqiu’s connections.

  • Xu Yi asked Shopkeeper Cao, Deputy Alliance Leader Zuo, and Deputy Island Master Liu about storage treasures that could hold water, and Liu recommended Zhi Feng Gourds.
  • Xu Yi asked the three men to procure one Zhi Feng Gourd each, and they arranged to have the gourds sent near the Sea of Forgetfulness.
  • Xu Yi met the three men at the coast, collected the tiny gourds, and tested one by storing and releasing a thousand cubic zhang of seawater.
  • Xu Yi set off toward Three Flower Sea, then received a message from Lord Lu saying he had canceled Xu Yi’s official registration.
  • Lord Lu explained that a powerful government figure was investigating Princess Yinqiu’s connections, so he erased the registration to keep Xu Yi’s true identity from being exposed.

Ch. 1632Second Brother

Xu Yi put aside the danger of being traced through Princess Yinqiu and hurried toward the Three Flower Sea, while the Third Holy Son decided to arrange Wang Qianqiu’s death. In the Black Dragon Mountains, Venerable Xia’s younger brother came to borrow his “Attack,” revealing their bitter family history before Venerable Xia questioned the mission.

  • Xu Yi felt reassured after Lord Lu severed the investigative thread leading through Princess Yinqiu, then continued at full speed toward the Three Flower Sea.

Ch. 1633The Conscience of the Cultivation World

Kong Cang sought Venerable Xia’s help to kill Wang Qianqiu, but Venerable Xia warned him that Xu Yi’s Boundless Sea made him a dangerous opponent and agreed to lend “Offense” only to Kong You’s other agent. Xu Yi arrived at Three Flower Island and headed for Jiao Mansion, intending to meet Master Jiao Da and obtain Demon Core Stones.

  • Kong Cang showed Venerable Xia a Shadow-Sound Pearl recording of Xu Yi’s Seven Thousand Swords and asked to borrow “Offense” to kill Wang Qianqiu.
  • Venerable Xia warned Kong Cang that Xu Yi’s Boundless Sea made him too dangerous and insisted Kong You send someone else to borrow “Offense.”
  • Venerable Xia sent Kong Cang away with a Sumeru Ring, and Kong Cang left after seeing what it contained.
  • Xu Yi arrived at Three Flower Sea at dusk and admired the three immortal blossoms on Three Flower Island.
  • Xu Yi recalled Master Jiao Da’s reputation for generosity and decided to seek him out because he might have Demon Core Stones.
  • Xu Yi changed his appearance and headed toward Jiao Mansion on West Mountain.

Ch. 1634Stripped Away

Xu Yi attended Master Jiao Da’s gathering at Jiao Mansion, where a test selected experts for a mysterious operation. The screening left Xu Yi among seventeen candidates and excluded Yuan Long, despite his point origin cultivation.

  • Xu Yi found Yuan Tiansi and Yuan Long among the experts gathering in an underground workshop and calmed them with a thought.
  • Master Jiao Da arrived and explained that he needed help with a troublesome matter, offering travel expenses to those who did not qualify.
  • Master Jiao Da gave each attendee a jade stone and asked them to exhale their inner breath to test whether they met his requirements.
  • The stones glowed in different colors, and seventeen people qualified, including Xu Yi, while Yuan Long and another point origin expert were excluded.

Ch. 1635Demon Palace

Xu Yi kept a crystal that had crumbled in his Sumeru Ring and asked Master Jiao Da for a Demon Core Stone. Master Jiao Da instead revealed that his Sea Ghost Team had discovered a Demon Palace near the deep sea and explained the Demon Race’s hierarchy and emblems.

  • After the crystal test, Xu Yi told Yuan Long to leave and arranged for Yuan Tiansi to return the Heart-Devouring Worms.
  • Master Jiao Da asked Xu Yi to return his crystal, but Xu Yi claimed he wanted to keep it and offered ten mid-grade Spirit Stones as compensation.
  • Xu Yi asked Master Jiao Da for a Demon Core Stone and offered a high-grade gold Spirit Stone, but Master Jiao Da said the upcoming expedition might provide a chance to obtain one.
  • Master Jiao Da revealed that his Sea Ghost Team had found a Demon Palace near the deep sea, and the gathered cultivators pressed him for details.
  • Master Jiao Da described the Demon Race’s four royal domains, territorial hierarchy, and Star-Moon Emblems, which indicated rank and cultivation.

Ch. 1636The Demon Race's Six Tiers

Master Jiao Da explained the Demon Race’s six tiers and demonstrated a Demon Testing Stone, which alarmed Xu Yi about his own nature. He then led the gathered cultivators to a deep-sea cavern and raised a vessel for their journey.

  • Master Jiao Da explained that the Demon Race had six tiers divided between green and white demon cores, warned that even third-tier great demons were dangerous, and described how the Star-Moon Emblem and a Demon Testing Stone could reveal demons.
  • Master Jiao Da’s Demon Testing Stone lit up, but the gathered cultivators sensed no demon; Xu Yi took the stone, while He Xuwo criticized him and Master Jiao Da tried to calm them both.
  • The stone’s heat and its earlier warning signs made Xu Yi wonder whether he was human or part demon.
  • At the cultivators’ urging, Master Jiao Da led them through the western exit to a cavern deep beneath the sea.
  • Master Jiao Da opened the cavern floor and raised a large black vessel covered in formation markings and Talisman Patterns.

Ch. 1637Forcing Jiao

Xu Yi threatened Master Jiao Da aboard the Hidden Dragon Ship and forced him to hand over a Demon Core Stone. After Xu Yi nearly damaged the ship, Master Jiao Da calmed the other passengers, while Xu Yi kept the treasure he had come for.

  • Master Jiao Da led Xu Yi and the others aboard the Hidden Dragon Ship, which sped out through the cave entrance.
  • Xu Yi checked the weakening light around the Ice Fire Rabbit, then went to Master Jiao Da's cabin and demanded a Demon Core Stone.
  • When Master Jiao Da refused, Xu Yi subdued him, took his Sumeru Ring, and forced him to swallow a Heart-Devouring Worm.
  • Master Jiao Da threatened revenge, so Xu Yi drew his Dark Obsidian Dagger and struck toward the ship's wall.
  • Fearing Xu Yi would damage the Hidden Dragon Ship, Master Jiao Da handed him a Demon Core Stone and told the other passengers through a jade token that everything was fine.

Ch. 1638Feng Bing

Xu Yi forced Master Jiao Da to hand over the Demon Core Stone, which the Ice Fire Rabbit swallowed, then learned from Yuan Tiansi that Feng Bing might be hostile to him. The Hidden Dragon Ship reached the boundary between shallow and deep sea, and Xu Yi and several others asked Master Jiao Da to open their cabins so they could look outside.

  • Xu Yi took the Demon Core Stone from Master Jiao Da, returned his Sumeru Ring, and asked how to use the stone.
  • The Ice Fire Rabbit swallowed the Demon Core Stone and returned to her jade-white form, so Xu Yi put her in the Spirit Beast Bag.

  • A bubble enveloped Xu Yi and the others, transporting them into a dry, white palace covered in mysterious mathematical patterns.
  • Master Jiao Da found no sign of He Xuwo and the others, and four giant demon beasts attacked the group.
  • Yuan Tiansi killed the four beasts with his jade-green saber, then Feng Bing froze and shattered eight more beasts.
  • Master Jiao Da proposed that the group study the palace’s symbols, but Xu Yi sealed his diagram pearls with Sword Qi before an explosion wounded Xu Yi, Feng Bing, and Yuan Tiansi.

  • Zeng Jian recovered from the ice and identified Feng Bing as a member of the Saint Race, drawing everyone’s attention to him.

Ch. 1642Appearing

Xu Yi reunited with Little Red Carp and learned that Jiao Da had tricked them into the maze. After Xu Yi summoned a mysterious drop of blood, Jiao Da and two powerful demons appeared, trapping the group inside a defensive formation.

  • Xu Yi led the survivors through a hidden passage back to the Green Grassland and asked them to find a treasure that could let him understand demon speech.
  • Feng Bing gave Xu Yi a Spirit Rhinoceros Bead, allowing him to speak with Little Red Carp, who explained how she had joined the Cracked Lion Demon Cave and entered the maze.
  • Xu Yi put Little Red Carp in his Spirit Beast Bag and told the others that Jiao Da was likely a Demon Servant who had set them up.

  • Xu Yi activated the Hidden Falling Divine Peak to enclose everyone in a barrier, but one demon declared that killing its controllers would break the formation.

Ch. 1643Hu Jinghui

Xu Yi used the spirit blood to draw out Hu Jinghui and Lang Du, then trapped the demons inside the Hidden Falling Divine Peak while his formation protected his companions. With both sides at a standoff, Xu Yi asked Hu Jinghui why he had set the trap.

  • Xu Yi realized that someone controlled the demon palace and used the spirit blood to lure its hidden controller out.
  • Hu Jinghui and Lang Du revealed themselves, but Xu Yi reflected Hu Jinghui’s attack with the Great Evolution Array of Rotation.

  • Hu Jinghui offered to let Xu Yi’s group leave in exchange for the spirit blood, but Xu Yi refused and waited out the confrontation.
  • Hu Jinghui recognized that Xu Yi was buying time and demanded that he name his terms.
  • Xu Yi asked Hu Jinghui why he had set the trap and let humans slaughter the demons.

Ch. 1644Five Kills

Xu Yi proposed a series of fights against Hu Jinghui and Lang Du instead of surrendering the spirit blood. Lang Du killed Zeng Jian and four other Yang Venerables almost instantly, leaving Xu Yi and Feng Bing to face Hu Jinghui.

  • Hu Jinghui offered to let the group leave safely in exchange for the spirit blood, but Xu Yi proposed that they fight instead.
  • Xu Yi arranged for Zeng Jian and four others to fight Lang Du, then planned to face Hu Jinghui with Feng Bing.
  • Lang Du swiftly killed four of the five fighters and devoured their heart's blood with Hu Jinghui.

  • Xu Yi assessed Lang Du's demonic body and speed as the main reasons the five Yang Venerables had died.

Ch. 1645Slaying Lang Du

Xu defeated Lang Du with thirteen strikes of Seven Thousand Swords, then demanded Lang Du’s spoils from Hu Jinghui. Hu Jinghui refused to surrender the demon core and storage treasure, challenging Xu to kill him for them.

  • Lang Du killed Zeng Jian and the other cultivators, collected their Sumeru Rings, and kept them after Hu Jinghui declined them.
  • Hu Jinghui called Xu and Feng Bing out to fight, but Xu sent Feng Bing to face Hu Jinghui and went to fight Lang Du himself.

  • Little Red Carp told Xu Yi that they were in his cave dwelling and that he served King Pingding as a demon general.
  • Xu Yi questioned how Little Red Carp had brought a human into demon territory without being discovered, and Little Red Carp hesitantly began to reveal the truth.

Ch. 1649The Coming Chaos

Xu Yi discovered a demon mark on his chest and learned from A Li that Green Demons had engineered the demon palace massacre to provoke war between humans and demons. He traced their rise to the Western Extreme Ice Sea and realized the Demon Race’s leaders faced pressure to retaliate despite understanding the trap.

  • Xu Yi found a black star-shaped demon mark on his chest after A Li told him to inspect it, though he could not understand how he had become a demon.
  • A Li gave Xu Yi two demon cores, storage rings, and Sumeru Rings recovered from the demon palace battlefield, and identified the white-and-green core as belonging to a Green Demon.
  • A Li explained that Green Demons had emerged after the Western Extreme Ice Sea expanded and had attacked demons near Luanyu Immortal Island, drawing humans into the conflict.
  • Xu Yi concluded that the Green Demons had lured low-level demons into the palace so humans would slaughter them, and that Hu Jinghui had sent evidence of the massacre out to provoke war.
  • Xu Yi realized the Green Demons wanted human support for their challenge to the Sea of Forgetfulness, while the Demon Race’s leaders could not easily restrain their angry followers from demanding revenge.

Ch. 1650Small Things

Xu Yi learned that the green tint in the demon cores was linked to rare Green Demon Cores, and he accepted Little Red Carp as his follower while learning how a Sumeru Seed worked. He chose to remain in the Demon Domain to investigate trading a Green Demon Core and planned to look around before Pingding Demon King’s reception banquet.

  • Little Red Carp explained that Green Demon Cores were rare and highly valued, and Xu Yi accepted one while saying they should treat each other as brothers.
  • Xu Yi gave Little Red Carp Lang Du’s Sumeru Ring as a gift, and Little Red Carp gave Xu Yi a Sumeru Seed.
  • Little Red Carp explained that a Sumeru Seed could hold living creatures but was dangerous because creatures inside could seize control of it, while its holder could kill them at will.
  • Xu Yi decided to stay in the Demon Domain and learn about trading a Green Demon Core before choosing what to do next.
  • Xu Yi asked Little Red Carp to show him around, and Little Red Carp warned that Pingding Demon King was hosting a reception banquet for him that night.
