Do you know Four Noble Truths?

How could you not know?

That was a rare warning when Buddha briefly appeared under Bodhi Tree.

Among the Buddha light, Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata lowered his eyes and replied almost instinctively, "I am Buddhist Four Noble Truths, and my name is Suffering, Origin, Cessation, Path."

"How could I not know?"

Qi WuHuo asked, "Does the master think that your path does not violate the original Four Noble Truths?"

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata replied, "Of course."

Young Daoist stretched out his hand and asked, "So, what is Truth of Suffering?"

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata It seems that it is rare to meet someone who can discuss things with him, so he said gently:

"People Suffering of Birth have Three Sufferings, Eight Sufferings. I wonder what the Daoist Master is asking about?"

Qi WuHuo said, "What is Three Sufferings?"

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata couldn't help but smile, "It seems that the Daoist priest wants to test the poor monk."

"Three Sufferings is the great suffering, divided into Suffering of Suffering, Suffering of Impermanence, Suffering of Formation."

Young Daoist asked gently, "What is Suffering of Suffering?"

Old monk smiled, "There are many monk, and there are many classics to describe this state, but old monk seems to be just [distress when suffering]. If you are injured by someone, if you accidentally fall, and your body is cut by a sharp knife, isn't it painful at this time?"

Qi WuHuo nodded. "It's painful."

Old monk added, "Suffering of Impermanence, there are countless annotations in countless classics, but they are all boring and cumbersome nonsense."

"Suffering of Impermanence means to get [the pain at the end of enjoying pleasure]."

"Youth is fleeting, youth is gone, happy years are always short-lived, and it is precisely because you have enjoyed happiness that you feel the loneliness afterward is unbearable. Isn't it painful at this time?"

Qi WuHuo said, "It's painful."

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata said, "Then it is painful when it is painful, and when happiness ends, it will also be painful because of happiness."

"Suffering of Formation, it is the pain that is dominated by the law of natural change in the remaining time that is neither painful nor happy."

"That is Eight Sufferings."

"Suffering of Birth, Suffering of Old Age, Suffering of Sickness, Suffering of Death, Suffering of Not Getting What One Wants, Suffering of Meeting Those One Dislikes, Suffering of Separation from Loved Ones, Suffering of the Five Aggregates."

He told young Daoist in front of him one by one the meaning of Eight Sufferings.

Young Daoist either thinks deeply or nods, which is an attitude of agreement, saying, "That's it."

And finally explained Suffering of the Five Aggregates, what is the prosperity of the five yins? He said:

"That is what [Heart Sutra] of [Guanyin Bodhisattva of the South Sea] said, form, feeling, perception, formation, consciousness, and the five aggregates are all suffering."

"What do you think, Daoist Master, of this Truth of Suffering?"

Young Daoist nodded in agreement. "The description is very complete. From now on, it seems that there will indeed be a lot of suffering."

"The person who said the meaning of Truth of Suffering should have seen a lot of things, right?"

Fu asked curiously, "Then what is [Truth of Origin]?"

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata then replied, "[Truth of Origin] is the desire and the cause of many sufferings brought together, so it is called [Truth of Origin]. The countless sufferings in this world are [Eighty-eight Afflictions of View Delusion], and [Eighty-one Afflictions of Thought Delusion]..."

When he was telling this, he suddenly saw young Daoist opposite and smiled slightly.

So he stopped and asked, "What is the flaw in what old monk said that made the Daoist priest laugh?"

Young Daoist stopped smiling for a moment, cupped his hands and said, "I am a poor man, Qi WuHuo."

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata understood and couldn't help but laugh, "Qi WuHuo, there are eighty-one levels of trouble when you see confusion."

"Old monk Maybe I should see you."

"I once saw the brief birth of Buddha under Bodhi Tree. Before and after that, I worked as a pharmacist to treat people."

He said gently, "The Daoist priest can just call me the pharmacist."

Young Daoist said, "Then pharmacist, please continue talking."

So Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata continued to talk about the meanings of Truth of Origin.

Young Daoist Listen carefully.

In the end, Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata concluded, saying, "The reasons for these many sufferings actually mainly come from [Greed, Anger, Ignorance][slow][suspicious]. Among these five, Greed, Anger, Ignorance is the biggest reason and is the source of countless sufferings."

"What do you think, Daoist Priest?"

Young Daoist thought for a while and said, "It makes sense."

He suddenly thought of his brothers and sisters, and realized that many things seemed to be clear to him, so he answered naturally, "If you are not greedy, you can save a lot of troubles. If you don't have anger, you will not get angry and lose your mind, and you will also save a lot of troubles. And if you don't have obsessions, and you don't have to be obsessed like a demon, you can let go of a lot, and even more troubles will be saved."

"The person who said [Truth of Origin] is really knowledgeable."

Then a smile appeared on Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata's face and he said gently, "True Person, you are so understanding."

He said, "Truth of Suffering, Truth of Origin, they are just ordinary."

"It's Truth of Cessation."

He clasped his hands together and said, "End all suffering and save all living beings."

"Those who hear the name of Medicine Master Glazed Guang Buddha will naturally have all their sins eliminated."

"If you hear the name of the World Honored One Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata and uphold it sincerely without any doubts, there will be no point in falling into the evil realm."

He recited his own Dharma, and the surrounding light was brilliant, like a crystal clear Pure Glazed.

Young Daoist raised his eyes slightly, then shook his head, pondered for a long time, and retorted again, "This is wrong."

So Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata had a meal of Buddha light.

Seeing that young Daoist was not refuting himself, Qi WuHuo thought thoughtfully and said:

"This is the meaning of [Truth of Cessation]."

"It should have been added by someone else."

"Isn't it explained by the person who proposed [Truth of Suffering] and [Truth of Origin] before?"

?!!!

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata was slightly shocked in his heart, but his expression remained unchanged. He lowered his eyes and looked at Qi WuHuo, saying:

"Where do you start talking about this?"

Young Daoist smiled and said, "It's very simple. It's better to say that you can see it at a glance."

"Because whether it is [Truth of Suffering] or [Truth of Origin], they are all talking about very basic and clear principles."

"The person who proposed Four Noble Truths explained these two points in great detail."

"And the most important thing is that there is no preaching in it."

"He just told the things that exist in this world very calmly."

Young Daoist thought of today's bowl of noodles, and still felt that it was a pity that he didn't try the roasted peppers, so he said, "Just like when eating noodles, eating peppers will make your mouth spicy, so you should eat less."

"It's such a simple and simple truth."

"It seemed that he was worried that others would misunderstand him, so he even explained it in detail one by one, as if telling you that when eating noodles, adding vinegar will make it sour, too much salt will make you thirsty, you can eat less chili, but don't add sugar to the noodles, otherwise the noodles will not taste good. It's all a bit verbose, but I can feel his tenderness towards the common people."

"But what you just said--"

"This Truth of Cessation will eliminate all suffering, with Save All Living Beings."

Young Daoist raised his eyes and looked at Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata in front of him and said:

"But it has a sense of superiority."

"It's different from the previous two."

"So, it's definitely not the Dharma he taught."

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata was silent for a long time and said, "But, there is no mistake."

Qi WuHuo shook his head and said, "Wrong."

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata Put his hands together and said slowly, "All living beings are suffering and sinking into the sea of suffering. Living in this world is like being among thorns. If the heart does not move, people will not move rashly, and if they do not move, they will not be hurt. If the heart is moved, people will move rashly, hurting their bodies and bones, and then they will experience all kinds of pain in the world."

"We must put an end to all evil."

"So all sentient beings will not experience such pain."

"In this way, all sentient beings can understand the Buddha's Dharma and realize Bodhi."

"What's wrong?"

When he spoke, Buddha light turned slightly dim unconsciously.

Young Daoist said, "That's how it should be, and it's true."

"But pharmacist, when you do this, have you ever asked the common people?"

"I asked Cang Sheng if he would be willing to be ferried by you?"

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata's eyes narrowed slightly, young Daoist stood up, looked calmly at monk who was looking down in front of him, and said, "The Dharma you just said is not false, but I still have some doubts. In such a world, all living beings must not act rashly in order to avoid suffering. I agree."

"But what you are doing is using Buddhism as a chain to trap the common people."

"[Order] them not to move."

"So they don't have to suffer the pain of needle pricks."

"Is this considered a degree?"

Old monk put his hands together, lowered his eyes for a long time, and said, "Forget it."

"Because people no longer have to suffer."

Young Daoist stared at him, thought for a while, and said, "That's a way of saying it, pharmacist."

"But I still have a question, I hope you can answer it."

"Please speak..."

"Buddha said Suffering of the Five Aggregates, then I will try to use the five yin prosperous to say that form, feeling, thought, action, consciousness, and the five aggregates are all suffering."

"You just mentioned Guanyin of the South Sea's method. After listening to it, I had a little understanding."

"It's because people can perceive the outside world and feel various appearances that they will be disturbed by all the external phenomena, which leads to Greed, Anger, Ignorance. Therefore, Buddhism says that "form is empty", which means this. Form is empty, which is a state. It means that no matter how complicated the outside world is, no matter what changes are experienced, all these external appearances will not affect the inner state of the practitioner, right?"

At this moment, he turned to young Daoist to ask. Old monk was silent for a long time and sighed:

"What True Person said is right."

Young Daoist shook his head and said, "You can't be worthy of True Person."

He added, "Then what the Buddha hopes is that all sentient beings will reach the state where form is empty."

"Right?"

The Buddha light in old monk had already restrained himself to only stay in this house. He lowered his eyes for a long time and said, "What True Person said is right."

"What I, the Buddha, hope is that all sentient beings can reach this point."

So young Daoist asked in confusion:

"But didn't what you did mean that they would never have the chance to get to this point?"

"Just like seeing many things in this world, it will cause pain to people. But it should not blind people's eyes."

"Because all living beings will eventually die, kill them when they are born and let them go straight to the other side."

"Pharmacist, isn't that what you did?"

Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata's body was shaken violently, he suddenly raised his head and blurted out. "No, I didn't!!"

Young Daoist asked, "But aren't you directly depriving all sentient beings of the opportunity to [see Formless Phenomena]?"

"The Buddha hopes that all sentient beings will come to [see that all forms are empty]"

"But you let them [not see the form] at all and have no chance to come into contact with the form. Naturally, they feel that the form is empty."

"But have they really achieved this level of enlightenment?"

The Buddha light on Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata almost disappeared, leaving only one old monk.

Young Daoist sighed and said:

"Monk."

"Are you trying to relieve people's troubles, or are you trying to uproot people's roots of wisdom?"

"Why do you think so?"

Old monk said painfully:

"I just want to learn from Buddha to save the common people. I just hope that the common people will not suffer."

Qi WuHuo paused, then he thought he was just confused and asked naturally:

"Then, does the Buddha you speak of treat you the same way you treat the common people now?"

Has Buddha ever cared about you like this?

It was also because all forms are suffering, and all living beings are suffering.

Will it also help you [to end all suffering]?

This sentence was just a question of doubt, but in the mouth of old monk it was as enlightening as a bell. He suddenly recalled that day when he, a poor pharmacist, saw the dazed man under Bodhi Tree. Then he told himself and others the original Dharma, which was Four Noble Truths.

What did he tell himself at that time...

He said, this is suffering and you should leave it.

This is a collection, you should cut it off.

This is annihilation, you must prove it.

This is the way, you should practice it.

He pointed out Four Noble Truths, and then advised me that this can be done, you can try this.

I've done it, so you can too.

That's all he is.

Old monk suddenly felt sad, with a feeling that he had taken the wrong path, and his heart was stinging. Buddha light on his body had disappeared in an instant. It seemed that Buddha light had been too strong before. When this When Buddha light dispersed, there was only darkness left around him. Old monk staggered and wanted to get up, but because he recalled that person and his own dream that predicted the future, he was so sad that he couldn't help himself.

He took a staggering step and fell to his knees on the ground.

He held his hands on the ground, tears pouring down his face.

"Ah..."

"Have my disciples, my Buddha, gone so far as to be wrong?"

"You have set an example, but I only went as far as the surface. How could I misunderstand your meaning to such a degree."

Young Daoist was silent, and suddenly said softly, "The person who guides you."

"It's no longer here."

This sentence is compassionate, but it hurts like a sword.

Old monk was so sad that he burst into tears.

I just felt that my whole body was in darkness, there was no way forward, and I had already taken the wrong path.

Suddenly a light came on. He subconsciously raised his head and saw the young Daoist approaching with an oil lamp. He leaned down slightly and the oil lamp in his hand illuminated himself. Old monk raised his cuffs, wiped his tears and said:

"Old monk is so rude, letting Mr. Dao see such a side."

"There are really too many mistakes, and it is extremely difficult to get back."

"When I think back on it, I feel even more sad."

Qi WuHuo said, "No need to thank me, I didn't help you, you always knew it. I just happened to say something to remind you of him."

Old monk sighed and said, "It's a pity, I have been so wrong."

"Being so far away from his teachings back then makes me feel even more painful."

Qi WuHuo said, "Then why don't you look back?"

Old monk's body was shaken violently.

"Look back..."

"If you take a wrong path, shouldn't you turn back next time?"

Old monk murmured, "Can I still look back?"

"As long as you want it, why not?"

Old monk sighed, "I still have a lot of things..."

"Then do you want to go back?"

So old monk paused.

Young Daoist put the oil lamp back on the table, and then said, "I have heard what you said about Truth of Suffering, Truth of Origin."

"So regarding Truth of Cessation, I disagree with you."

"I also have some ideas."

"Pharmacist, you can listen to it and treat it as a casual joke by an ordinary Daoist."

Old monk stood up and sat back. When he saw young Daoist, he stood up and said in a clear voice:

"My Daoist sect takes the sun and moon as its life."

"When the sun rises and the moon sets, the light shines everywhere. This is cultivation."

"And Truth of Origin said that all suffering comes from samadhi. This samadhi is Greed, Anger, Ignorance, like fire. The fire light is the countless desires emitted from this source. These desires are reflected into the eyes, so the light of life of the sun and moon cannot be seen."

"And Truth of Cessation, maybe so."

The young man stood up and gently blew out the oil lamp.

The window in this Daoist temple Scripture Pavilion was opened, and the moonlight poured in gently, falling on young Daoist's body and shoulders, and also fell into the house, illuminating every inch, monk's eyes widened, and he looked at young Daoist under the moonlight, pointing at the oil lamp, pure and at ease, and said with a smile, "It's not to extinguish all the desires of the common people, but to blow out the Greed, Anger, Ignorance fire of oneself."

"Such evil desires and destinies will naturally disappear."

"You can see the sun and the moon."

Old monk looked at young Daoist under the moonlight and suddenly laughed.

Smiling and laughing, and suddenly choked up.

"That's it..."

"It's not the annihilation that saves annihilation, it's the annihilation that blows out."

"Blow out Greed, Anger, Ignorance, and you will see the Tathagata."

"Yes, how could a person like him use the term "Du Mu" to describe his Dharma? It's because we have always seen and understood it wrong... Why don't we really understand his Dharma?"

Eastern Buddhist Country Pure Lapis Lazuli World.

Countless glazed worlds have returned to their original appearance, bright and clear, without any mistakes.

Moonlight Illumination Bodhisattva suddenly felt something. He raised his head and saw Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light Tathagata who closed his eyes and concentrated on his Dharma body. He suddenly shed tears and felt sad.

Then he slowly opened his eyes.

Actively choose to stop condensing one's own Dharma, one's own power, one's own various aspects.

Under the moonlight, old monk among Refining Yang Temple put his hands together and said:

"The poor monk wants to turn back, but he can't do it alone..."

"Please, Supreme Xuanwei True Person help me."

Just like the ordinary young Daoist was called Daoist title, he moved for a moment, raised his eyes and saw that monk was pure and comfortable, old monk had a smile on the corner of his mouth, and his eyes But it was clear, as if it could detect everything, and Buddhism had his own mind. At this moment, young Daoist felt the old man's relief and let go, and he also understood old man's choice in an instant, and he did not say anything else.

Old monk thanked him, sat cross-legged under the moonlight, put his hands together, and said gently:

"May I achieve Bodhi in my next life..."

The young man wore a Daoist robe and said:

"May you achieve Bodhi in your next life."

Old monk thanked him and just recited Buddhist scriptures. Qi WuHuo stood next to him. Monk was sitting cross-legged. The Daoist was standing. Monk faced the moon and the young man had his back to the moon. old man Recite the original method Bodhi Tree, then raise your right forearm in front of your chest, stretch your fingers upward naturally, palms outward, and apply Abhaya Mudra; hang your left hand in front of your knees, palms outward, and apply Varada Mudra.

Young Daoist The right hand hangs down, and the sleeves of the sleeves are fluttering.

The ring finger of the left middle finger is slightly bent inward.

Press the tips of your middle finger and ring finger with your thumb.

Take Daoist incantation.

Taking a step forward, his sleeves and robe were swept away, and monk closed his eyes. He recalled countless Buddhist classics in his heart.

They say this is what I hear, but in the end it is covered by other sounds.

The young man mouthed the mantra, his voice was gentle, Daoist incantation fell, so said, so said--

"Supreme Edict!"

Reference--Buddhist·Three turns Four Noble Truths twelve lines

<Lots of Lotus Sutra·Parables>: "Buddha once went to Paranai, and first taught the Dharma. Four Noble Truths/Buddha used to go to Paranai, and first taught the Dharma. Now, he has repeated the supreme and greatest Dharma.

In the twenty-two volumes of the "Abhidharmakshasa", the four truths have been explained first, and they are called Suffering, Origin, Cessation, Path. The same is true for the self, and the sequence follows the appearance.

I hope it can be written realistically enough so that the story has weight and the choice has value.
