The story began with the Supreme One meeting Qi WuHuo.
It ended with Qi WuHuo meeting Wukong.
The rise and fall of legends, the inheritance of myths—in my view, this was a fitting end.
This book ran to three million and thirty thousand words. It wasn't especially long, but it wasn't short, either. Thank you all for keeping me company over the past year and three million words. (Bows deeply.)
A Western writer once said that every creator sat alone in front of a computer screen, dreaming the most absurd dreams. But I think the author of a web novel is more like a storyteller.
Telling a tale, earning a few pots of wine money. The listeners and readers come and go, but each one is a patron who puts food on my table, a friend who comes to listen, a kindred spirit who understands the story. Every one of you is precious. I'm endlessly grateful and thankful.
As for this book, thank you so much for reading this story. I think it would be wonderful if any part of it made you feel that it was a pretty good story, and helped you pass the time.
This part of the story has ended. I should read more books and spend some time thinking, too.
Perhaps I'll rest for three or four months, or perhaps less. I'll clear my mind during that time, then prepare for the next story.
In other words, the storyteller is heading home to figure out how to create the next tale.
