Ling Tian exposed Konoha’s mistreatment of Sakumo and forced the village into a reckoning over its leaders and the Uchiha. After leaving Konoha with his forces, he led a squad to Amegakure and attacked Rain shinobi when Hanzo refused to meet him.

Arc 1The Hatake Alliance

Ling Tian protected Sakumo from the village’s efforts to disgrace him and built an alliance with Orochimaru, Fugaku Uchiha, and Might Duy. As tensions with Sunagakure rose, Hiruzen rejected Danzo and Orochimaru’s proposal to wage war, leaving the village leadership divided.

  • Ling Tian learned Sakumo was returning after a failed mission, and he convinced Orochimaru that Sakumo had been set up for saving Sarutobi Shinnosuke.
  • Sakumo returned to Konoha, rejected the village’s judgment, and gave up his Hokage sleeve, while Hiruzen appointed Shishō acting Anbu Captain.
  • Ling Tian rebuked Sakumo for abandoning his ambitions, then warned Kakashi that the village might use him to pressure their family and began courting the Uchiha.
  • Ling Tian gained Fugaku Uchiha’s support for a coup by promising the Uchiha political influence and an alliance with Orochimaru and other clans.

Arc 2White Fang’s Rebellion

Ling Tian exposed the village’s mistreatment of White Fang, and the dispute escalated into an open battle with Hiruzen, Danzo, and the Leaf forces. As Ling Tian and Uchiha Red Four faced the gathered clans, rain began falling over the Leaf Village.

  • Hiruzen appointed Jiraiya, Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Fugaku to lead the campaign against Sunagakure, while Ling Tian recruited Fugaku’s help for his plans and arranged for Daoyu to undergo a transformation into Uchiha Red Four.
  • Ling Tian and White Fang confronted Hiruzen and the village over White Fang’s disgrace, and Ling Tian revealed that his brother had nearly taken his own life after the villagers turned against him.
  • When Hiruzen offered to resign after the war and promised to explain the situation, White Fang demanded an answer immediately, then drew his blade and declared himself the village’s enemy unless he received one.
  • Ling Tian left with Kakashi, while White Fang fought Hiruzen and Danzo’s forces, and Uchiha Red Four set fires around Konoha and attacked Danzo’s Root shinobi.
  • Uchiha Red Four unleashed a vast fire dragon that devastated Danzo’s forces, while Hiruzen and White Fang continued their battle inside a sealing barrier.
  • Torifu Akimichi and shinobi from the Great Ninja Clans arrived, and clan fighters joined the battle against White Fang as Hiruzen moved to confront Uchiha Red Four.

Arc 3The Fourth Hokage Crisis

Ling Tian’s God Organization forced the Leaf to confront its leaders, while Danzo’s confession shifted the succession struggle toward Orochimaru. As Fugaku and Danzo maneuvered to strengthen the Uchiha, Ling Tian recruited Torifu to help remove the Third Hokage and prepare the village for war.

  • Ling Tian defeated the Leaf’s defenses, revealed his group as the God Organization, and persuaded White Fang to join in exchange for protection for his family.
  • Ling Tian’s group ambushed Danzo after he left the village, but Danzo survived and later told the Third that he had repelled the attackers.
  • Ling Tian disclosed his plans to Fugaku, kept the Uchiha coup plan in place, and insisted that the Third must answer for suppressing the clan and his older brother.
  • At the Hokage Council, Danzo turned the succession debate toward Orochimaru, admitted his role in the White Fang scandal, and apologized to Fugaku for the Uchiha’s suffering.
  • Danzo’s accusations and confessions turned the gathered leaders against the Third, who was ordered to face the villagers and take responsibility before Orochimaru assumed office.

Arc 4The Leaf’s Reckoning

Ling Tian forced Konoha’s leaders to answer for their past decisions, then led a small squad toward Amegakure to confront Hanzo. The arc left him launching an attack on Rain shinobi after Hanzo refused to meet him.

  • Torifu Akimichi agreed to support Ling Tian, who refused to marry into the Akimichi Clan, while Hongsi and White Fang reached Kirigakure to investigate its intentions.
  • Hongsi set Kirigakure ablaze and challenged the Third Mizukage as White Fang’s attacks on three clans drew their strongest fighters into pursuit.
  • Hongsi escaped after Kirigakure’s forces overwhelmed him, while White Fang’s raid left three young clan members captured and others missing.
  • Ling Tian confronted Konoha’s leaders over the Hatake Clan’s treatment, demanded accountability from Hiruzen Sarutobi, and threatened Utatane Koharu.
  • Danzo assigned the village’s forces to the war fronts and announced that Hiruzen would step down, Orochimaru would succeed him, and Sarutobi Shinnosuke had been ordered to die.
  • Hiruzen confessed to past betrayals, but villagers defended him, so Ling Tian led the Hatake and Uchiha forces out of Konoha and killed Konohamaru.
  • Ling Tian left for the battlefield with his squad after asking Uchiha Nako to marry him when he returned, and he ordered Dai to hold off Hanzo if he appeared.
