Amid the boundless mountains, several Nascent Soul Realm cultivators sat like old monks in meditation, each occupying a lonely peak. For months, it seemed none of them had uttered a word, yet every one had spread out his spiritual sense to its full extent, keeping watch over the temple entrance and every stir of wind and grass nearby. Though they were faintly hostile toward one another, they also seemed to be working together. Had a cultivator of their own level intruded at that moment, the four of them would surely have joined forces to kill him.

All at once, White Bone Devil Lord and the other three Nascent Soul Realm cultivators opened their tightly shut eyes. Their vast spiritual senses, spread in every direction, converged on the temple entrance. The transparent, heavy energy barrier at the entrance rippled, showing signs of loosening.

A few months were barely a blink in the long lives of Nascent Soul Realm cultivators. Yet the temple was a matter of great importance, and despite their outward calm, the cultivators were burning with impatience deep down. How could they not be anxious and concerned when the entrance, which had shown no sign of activity for so long, was now moving so conspicuously?

Without needing anyone to give the order, the four Nascent Soul Realm cultivators all moved. Within a few breaths, they had each landed outside the temple entrance. Their expressions shifting between hope and worry, they gazed at the seal, where waves now surged.

"Prophet, this temple is the sacred ground of your barbarian tribe. What does this strange occurrence mean?" White Bone Devil Lord stood with his hands behind his back, looking perfectly composed, though he remained highly vigilant. The other two elders of the Unicorn Race also turned their gazes to Prophet Karkas.
