History

Hengzhou once had ten major dojos, but a corrupted Experiential Faction Grandmaster annihilated them roughly a thousand years earlier. Nanhuang Dojo, led by Zhang Qiang, is the sole surviving dojo of that group in Hengzhou. 162

By the time Qin Shi was assessed, the dojo's influence had declined amid the suppression of Old Martial Arts and the expansion of New Martial Arts education. Ren You nevertheless described it as one of the few Old Martial Arts powers with direct Stellar Cup qualification slots, an Armed and Armored license, and the right to ignite a Star Torch to establish a dojo. 113

After Qin Shi displayed exceptional physical and mental potential, Zhang Qiang decided to relocate the dojo to Taian. Ren You announced that it would be established in Dangyang Eastern Suburbs, where the local Education Department allocated several streets for its resettlement. 113 121 125

The dojo recruited and trained Qin Shi while evaluating him as a possible inheritor. Zhang Qiang ultimately offered him the full inheritance in exchange for representing Nanhuang Dojo on the ancient Sky Road through the Stellar Cup. 121 154 155 Qin Shi was formally named Nanhuang's young master and successor, receiving its “Unrestricted” authority. 196 197

Nanhuang Dojo's core inheritance, created by Zhang Qiang, seeks to transform the Mortal Body into a divine body by forging five major secret treasures within it. 154 155 179

• Body Refining Furnace — A foundational technique that refines the body through coordinated breathing, vitality circulation, and the resonance of the five internal organs. 130 156
• Great Emperor Weapon / Taihuang Soldier — The lung secret treasure. Its cultivation requires eighty points of vitality; once fully forged, it enables underwater breathing, poison-gas filtration, environmental adaptation, and the ability to subsist by absorbing Qi. 155 156

Major Conflicts

Nanhuang Dojo's conflict with the Ying Clan predates Qin Shi's succession. Zhang Qiang previously breached Hengzhou's Iron Curtain defenses, entered the Songgu Riverbank Manor, killed seventy-seven Ying Clan direct descendants, and beheaded three elite-regiment generals. 197

After Shen Changyuan's death, the Ying Clan placed a bounty on Qin Shi during the Hengzhou Martial Arts Association's Top 100 Competition, rewarding competitors for stopping, injuring, or eliminating the dojo's successor. 164 166

Qin Shi later confronted Ying Lin at the Little Red House to settle the debt for Shen Changyuan. At the same time, Zhang Qiang piloted Hunyuan Doukui toward Central City and compelled the Blackwater private-security force to cooperate. 220 221

• Zhang Qiang was once known as a “background board” for Dongxia's First Generation Ten Prodigies because he repeatedly lost to figures such as Qi Wuxiang and He Lanchán; his later actions against the Ying Clan changed public perception of his strength. 114 171 234
