Background
Leon is the second son of the Hohenzollern family, a Northern Territory military house known as one of the Empire’s strongest military pillars. His father is Marquis Hohenzollern, called the Imperial God of War, while his elder brother Karl is the family heir and a Sky Knight. Leon’s upbringing was defined by excessive family indulgence, which helped cultivate his reputation as the family’s disgrace. 1 5 80
Before the transmigration, Leon was an extravagant and reckless noble scion who squandered a yearly allowance of two hundred Gold Roland on gambling, banquets, taverns, and luxury goods. His shallow Battle Qi and poor reputation made him an obvious political weakness for House Hohenzollern’s rivals. 5 9 22
A clear-headed soul from another world transmigrates into Leon’s body, inheriting his political liabilities, broken reputation, engagement to Elisa Windsor, and residence at Count Strauss’s Mansion. Determined not to remain powerless, he begins training in both knightly combat and magic while concealing the abnormality of his soul. 1 10 17
His discovery of a mysterious silver-white bracelet becomes a turning point. The artifact reacts to his Magic Power and soul wavelength; Leon accidentally awakens it before Elisa becomes its eventual host. The bracelet is later identified as the ancient Oath of Starfrost. 25 26 87 219
Following repeated public humiliations and the suppression of his ambitions by traditional magical authorities, Leon resolves to pursue a “Magitech Revolution.” He applies knowledge from his previous world to projects such as the Spinning Jenny and Magic Steam Engine, seeking a source of power accessible beyond the mage-and-noble order. 171 203 209
Appearance
Leon is a young nobleman whose appearance increasingly reflects exhaustion, physical hardship, and deliberate self-reinvention.
- Purplish-black eyes, often described as carrying dark circles from lack of sleep. 171 281
- Initially known for disheveled, extravagant habits; later adopts plain, unremarkable clothing. 10 195
- Frequently wears oil-stained artisan’s clothes and mud-splattered boots while working in the East District. 281
- His physique improves through Captain Hans’s training, though his knightly foundation remains damaged. 28 281
Personality
Leon begins as a transmigrator forced to perform the role of a notorious wastrel while learning to survive in the Imperial Capital’s hostile noble society. He is observant, cautious, and highly conscious of information asymmetry; after the Coming-of-Age Ceremony, he studies nobles’ expressions, alliances, and motives as political data rather than reacting only with humiliation. 10 30 58
He is resourceful under pressure. He analyzes his duel opponent’s habits, conceals the bracelet rather than exposing it to stronger figures, turns punishment-copying into a way to preserve magitech knowledge, and seeks underground channels for materials and allies. 13 26 198 203
Humiliation repeatedly drives Leon toward obsession and cold resolve. His desire for independence develops into a willingness to challenge the Empire’s magic-centered hierarchy through steam technology, even while recognizing that this change may bring chaos and destruction. 96 171 241

Battle Qi and swordsmanship
Leon possesses Battle Qi inherited from his martial family, but his cultivation has long been unstable and his foundation is impaired.

- His Spiritual Power can resonate with the Oath of Starfrost and temporarily stabilize Elisa’s unstable magic core. 135
Oath of Starfrost resonance
Leon’s transmigrator soul is uniquely compatible with the bracelet’s awakening threshold, though Elisa is its true host.
- Detects the artifact’s resonance before its activation. 25 26
- Gains a significant Spiritual Power increase after dangerous contact with its stellar energy. 33
- Can sense and later attempt communication through his resonance with Elisa and the bracelet. 343
- Cannot establish the deep bond or use the bracelet’s full functions available to Elisa. 219
Strategy, information, and innovation

Humiliation and the Magitech Revolution
Repeated humiliation and control push Leon to reject the existing noble order. He decides to build power through magitech, framing steam as an “oil lamp” for ordinary people in contrast to magic as a privilege for the few. 169 171 209
Alliance of Earth and Fire
Leon enters the Dwarf underworld to obtain resources, forms a business partnership with Durin Ironbrow, and later swears the Alliance of Earth and Fire in support of the Dwarf Empire’s steam ambitions. 203 206 263
