With plenty of food, Luffy let his instincts run wild and devoured it all in a whirlwind.
At first, Tama was a little shy. But when the food piled up into a dreamlike mountain, she gave in to their coaxing and tried a bite. After that, she couldn't stop. She sat beside Luffy and joined him in his feast, as if eating herself to death would still make this the best day of her life.
"Where's the booze? How come there's no booze?"
Zoro leaned against the table and complained.
"Like I have time for that. If you want a drink, buy one yourself."
Lina glanced at him and ignored his complaint, picking up a portion of takoyaki for herself.
A little while later.
The huge bag of food had finally succumbed to the ravages of one particular bottomless pit. Luffy lay on the floor, his belly as round as a ball, while Tama lay down too, her stomach bulging even through her clothes.
"Burp~~"
They both rubbed their stomachs and let out a satisfied belch. Happiness filled Tama's face.
"I'm so happy. I've never eaten this much before."
"Really? But aren't there plenty of wild animals in the woods? With your strength, Uncle, couldn't you hunt them and eat your fill?"
Luffy lay on the floor and tilted his head in confusion.
Tengu Hitetsu lifted half of his mask, wiped his mouth, then lowered it before speaking.
"Kaido built a large number of weapon factories in this country. Outside the Flower Capital, the water sources in the other regions have all been polluted. The wild animals have been drinking the filthy water for a long time, and toxins have accumulated in their bodies. Eating them will make you sick at best, and could cost you your life at worst."
