Bang!!
Bang!!
With two deafening crashes, the quarry's wall was smashed through, leaving two gaping holes as dust billowed and countless rocks went flying.
"What's going on?!"
"Are there more enemies?!"
The pirates and samurai in the quarry all turned around in alarm.
Two battered figures lay on the ground. They were obviously the ones who had caused all that noise.
The samurai looked wary, but it didn't take long for some of the pirates to recognize the two men.
"Wait, that's—!"
"Trafalgar Law! And our captain, Kid!"
"What are they doing here?!"
"Look outside! There's someone else!"
A pirate shouted and pointed at the gap in the wall. As the dust slowly cleared, everyone could just make out a silhouette.
With a single-edged great axe resting on his shoulder, he strolled in from the wilderness beneath the night sky.
Compared to Law and Kid, who looked battered and disheveled, the newcomer had only a little dirt on his clothes. Clearly, he'd put the two of them in a tight spot with ease.
"Hey, hey, hey, cut it out, you two. This doesn't even count as a warm-up."
Lina stepped through the gap in the wall and entered the quarry, strolling in with a mocking expression.
"Don't tell me you think you can beat me with skills like that. If you can't hack it, you might as well retire and go enjoy your golden years."
"You bastard!"
Kid pushed himself up with his mechanical arm, glaring at Lina through gritted teeth.
"I really want to tear that mouth off his face!"
"Yeah, I feel the same way."
Law's expression darkened as he voiced his agreement.
They were supposed to be fighting, so why did this guy keep running his mouth?
And to make things worse, they couldn't beat him.
"Tch!"
