Lightning split the sky, illuminating the jagged quarry walls and lending the fierce battle a colder edge.

Kid slumped against a wall, exhausted. With difficulty, he raised a hand and pressed it against the stone. A spark crackled to life.

The earth shook violently. Kid curled his fingers and raised his palm. The wall, dozens of meters tall, broke away at its base, then slowly rose into the air.

Kid pressed his palm down hard. The stone wall, which should not have been magnetic, followed his movements and flew out, slamming toward Lina like a giant hand.

The wall crashed into the ground with a thunderous boom, violently shaking the earth and sending up rolling clouds of dust.
The battered wall split with several spreading cracks. With a bang, a hole was brutally blasted through its center, sending rubble flying as Lina leaped out.
