Moonlight shone into a deep bamboo forest. Swaying bamboo shadows slithered across the ground like intertwining black snakes, and quite a few figures already lay among the trees.
A small, furry figure sat on the ground, leaning against a bamboo stalk and panting.
"Thank... thank you, Franky. I really thought I was going to die."
Exhaustion covered Chopper's face, and he was filthy all over. Lying before him was a mammoth with coarse fur and a pair of enormous tusks.
Jack's massive body lay overturned in a pool of blood, his eyes rolled back, clearly unconscious. Two holes pierced his side, their edges charred black-obvious signs of laser damage.
After taking a Rumble Ball and transforming into a monster, Chopper had been every bit as strong as Jack and had thoroughly suppressed him, but the transformation simply hadn't lasted long enough.
Relying on his formidable defenses and vitality, Jack had outlasted two of Chopper's Rumble Balls without being defeated. Just as Chopper risked his life by taking a third, Franky had appeared and brought him hope.
With Chopper keeping Jack occupied, Franky's two laser beams had finally brought down the already badly wounded mammoth.
"Don't mention it, Chopper. I'm feeling super motivated today! You did great."
Clang!
Franky grinned, turned sideways with his hip cocked, and brought his thick arms together above his head.
Seeing Franky strike his signature pose, Chopper couldn't help laughing.
"You seem really happy today, Franky. Where are the others? Is everyone okay?"
"Don't worry. You were the last one to finish. They all won."
Franky flashed a toothy grin and gave him a thumbs-up.
After finishing his battle with Queen, he had rushed around helping his friends. Chopper, who had fought Jack all the way into Kuri's bamboo forest, was the last one he had
