"The leaders are back!"
Inside the giants' tavern, a relatively short boy leaned against the window. He turned and shouted to the giants drinking inside.
"They've brought some humans with them, too! They must be the Straw Hat Crew!"
Colon sounded excited, and the giants in the tavern all looked delighted.
"You even know about the Straw Hat Crew, kid?"
"Well, I suppose it makes sense. They're pirates who can stand shoulder to shoulder with Red-Haired. Have you read today's paper?"
"Ah, you mean the Egghead War? They actually escaped the Marines' encirclement unscathed. What an incredible crew."
The already cheerful tavern grew even livelier.
"Hehehe! Red-Haired told me about Straw Hat Kid Luffy before."
Colon leaped off his chair, overjoyed, and hurried to the door to welcome them.
Outside, Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp were leading the way, racing toward the tavern with eager anticipation.
Behind them, Lina and the others were walking with Dorry and Brogy. Before long, the tavern doors swung open, and a pink-haired boy wearing a horned helmet ran out, waving and shouting at them.
"Leader Dorry! Leader Brogy!"
"Gahahaha! It's Colon!"
Brogy waved back.
Lina was drawn to him, too. From Brogy's words, he quickly figured out who the boy was.
Colon, the son of Gaban and the giant woman.
Come to think of it, was he actually Gaban's son?
Lina wasn't sure about that. Love might transcend differences between species, but reproduction might not overcome a difference in size.
Even as a child, Colon—the little one in the giants' eyes—stood a head taller than Luffy.
