Chaos pushed aside the rubble covering him, climbed out, and braced himself on the ground, coughing uncontrollably.
Steam kept billowing from his body. He had already pushed himself beyond his limits.
Suddenly, he looked up into the distance, his expression uncertain.
A ferocious presence was rapidly approaching from the horizon. It felt familiar.
"That troublemaker."
Gotdi, who had also emerged from the ruins, turned his gaze in the same direction.
Even Morgans had sensed it.
"Big News! Could it be..."
Amid the lightning and thunder, the vague shape of a dragon appeared in the sky, then came crashing down.
"Kaido!"
At the very center of the dust cloud, where the earth trembled, a demonic figure carrying a spiked club gradually came into focus, taking one slow step after another.
"Wahaha!"
"How could I miss a fight like this?"
Kaido looked from the battered Chaos to Gotdi, his face brimming with fighting spirit.
"Kaido, this isn't a fight you can interfere in."
Gotdi narrowed his eyes. Kaido's appearance irritated him.
The Golden Emperor was his target. He didn't want anyone else interfering in their fight.
"Who the hell are you to tell me what to do? With that busted-up body of yours, how many swings of my club can you take?"
Kaido rested his enormous spiked club on his shoulder and looked down on Gotdi.
They were old acquaintances.
Gotdi's red, slit-like pupils turned dangerous. This guy was a notorious troublemaker.
Whenever a top-level battle broke out, there was a sixty percent chance this troublemaker would show up.
He had far too much free time.
And yet he was tough as nails and powerful, always capable of affecting the outcome.
"Looks like today's an unlucky day. Why's this old hag come looking for trouble, too?"
