Spring turned to autumn.
Time flew by!
In the blink of an eye, another half year had passed.
A lot had happened over the past six months, keeping the whole sea awash with fresh news.
It had all begun half a year ago, when Lone Red killed a Celestial Dragon. The Marines sent Marine Admiral Buddha Sengoku and Marine Hero Garp after him.
There had been four or five battles since then.
Either Lone Red had just fought Buddha Sengoku, or he had just fought Marine Hero Garp.
In any case, neither of them had managed to capture Lone Red in a one-on-one fight.
There hadn't been a two-on-one fight.
As for whose name was trending across the seas, Patrick Redfield, Lone Red, was certainly one of the top contenders.

There wasn't a pirate alive who didn't admire him.
That was the first major event of the past six months.

Explosion Monarch was a man who kept his word—and a vicious one, too. When Kaido had blocked him during his campaign against the Richest Group, Explosion Monarch had said he would go to Onigashima himself before leaving.
Just two months later, he led several of his lieutenants in a massive assault on Onigashima.
Nearly every force in the world had watched that battle.
It ended with both sides badly hurt, though strictly speaking Explosion Monarch had come out on top. At the very least, he had managed to leave Onigashima.
All that remained was a field of ruins, and the Beasts Pirates
