After finishing his call with Crocodile, Chaos dialed Stussy's Den Den Mushi.
"Buru-buru~"
It rang for only three seconds before someone picked up. A cool, yet somewhat weary voice came through.
"BOSS!"
"Yo! Morning, little Stussy!"
Chaos opened with a teasingly suggestive greeting, as usual.
Baccarat, who had been sulking and thinking about how to escape, shivered instinctively and turned to look at Chaos with utter disdain.
Was this man in heat?
She felt sick.
At that moment, Stussy was sitting in a chair at the estate on Poppy Island, with stacks of documents spread across the desk in front of her. She was clearly working.
Hearing Chaos's sickeningly sweet pet name, she couldn't help rubbing her forehead. Goosebumps covered her, and she shivered and trembled.
"BOSS, speak normally!"
"Otherwise, I might just poison you."
Stussy's voice grew colder and colder. Even through the Den Den Mushi, the murderous intent was unmistakable.
Stussy hated being called "little Stussy" more than anything.
It was too damn saccharine!
She couldn't take it.
And the worst part was that it was that man calling her that.
"I'm the big shot of the Richest Group, at least. Show me some respect!"
"I could hear how tired you sounded, so I was just checking in on you."
Chaos wasn't embarrassed in the slightest. If he didn't feel awkward, then someone else had to.
But Stussy clearly wasn't just anyone.
So there was no need to feel awkward.
"BOSS, get to the point. I'm busy!"
Stussy sighed. It was like having a hopelessly mischievous son who would never grow up—she couldn't help worrying about him, and it drove her to despair.
"Get ready. The Flying Pirates might go to war with us."
Blowing smoke rings, Chaos smoothly followed up Stussy's words by getting down to business.
