At the Golden Lion's loud laugh from his throne, everyone seated in the great hall set down their drinking bowls and turned their attention to him.
More precisely, most of their gazes fell on the woman seated beside him: elegant, ethereal, and imbued with a sacred, untouchable aura—a perfect woman.
The female fleet captains were especially wary: Empress Kehila, captain of the Third Fleet; Black Widow Eliza, captain of the Eighth Fleet; Jelly Queen Annie, captain of the Ninth Fleet; Witch Roria, captain of the Tenth Fleet; Consort Jessica, captain of the Eleventh Fleet; and Cruel Queen Christos, captain of the Twelfth Fleet. The woman's aura was too distinctive. She was the only woman who could threaten them.
They all felt a good deal of unease.
So they looked at Stussy with hostility and disdain.
Unlike the female fleet captains, the men—such as Charming Idol Groot, captain of the Fifth Fleet—were quite interested in Stussy.
Men all liked women who were beautiful, had perfect figures, and possessed a unique charm.
