Thick black smoke billowed into the sky, and Golden Lion's wild laughter rang out from within it.
Chaos drifted down to the ground. Watching Golden Lion emerge from the smoke, he let out a heavy breath.
"You surprised This Emperor, too!"
Arrogance was Chaos's nature, and courting death was his passion. He brushed back his slightly tousled golden hair as steam and flames surged from his body.
The pressure his opponent exerted on him had never let up.
A sonic boom sounded overhead, and a vast cloud of dust sprayed up beside Chaos.
It was the Golden Warrior.
Just like Chaos, he had flowing golden hair, a spinning halo, and armor covering his body.
He had used the Gold-Gold Fruit.
But he hadn't unleashed some dazzling special move—he had merely summoned a Golden Warrior.
"Gyahahaha!"
"Let's see if you can keep acting so arrogant!"
Golden Lion gripped Withered Wood and Cherry Ten in both hands. The laughter faded from his face as his immense presence surged skyward like an invisible pillar of light, churning the thick, dark clouds overhead and filling the sky with flashes of lightning and thunder.
He was getting serious.
Chaos's golden eyes narrowed. Still as arrogant as ever, he attacked again, flying forward with the Golden Warrior at his side. They were going to gang up on Golden Lion two-on-one.
"Golden Molten Fire: Serious Punch!"
Veins snaked beneath the guards on his arms, and flames crackled with explosive power. Against such a formidable foe as Golden Lion, he could only use a Serious Punch or a Serious Kick. An ordinary punch or kick wouldn't do much.
Golden Lion's mane whipped about, like a lion just awakened from sleep.
The sheer intimidation he unleashed in that instant enveloped the soul.
