"BOSS, you said that once the Roger Pirates reached the true final island, Laugh Tale, Gol D. Roger would become the Pirate King, right?"
Stussy's slender fingers tapped unconsciously on the desk as she looked toward Chaos on the sofa, deep in thought.
"Is there a problem?"
Chaos flicked away some ash, thinking Stussy didn't believe his prediction.
"There is a problem, actually!"
Stussy pondered for three seconds, then suddenly smiled. "BOSS, do you know what's on Laugh Tale? Whatever it is must be enough to make Roger the Pirate King. Or is there some power there capable of turning the world upside down? Otherwise, all the pirates out there wouldn't recognize the title of Pirate King!"
Stussy had become interested in Laugh Tale.
"Nothing but treasure, the history of the Void Century, perhaps the origins of the World Government, or the secrets of Devil Fruits."
Chaos didn't care much. After all, none of those things interested him.
"BOSS, why not become the Pirate King yourself?"
Stussy swept a lock of golden, wavy hair that had fallen over her chest back behind her shoulder. She blinked her big eyes, her red lips curling slightly into a teasing smile.
"That's not a bad idea. I've thought about it before."
Chaos stroked his chin, as if giving it serious consideration.
He really had considered becoming the Pirate King before Roger. But when he thought about the near-certain death that would follow, he abandoned the idea.
If he became the Pirate King, the World Government would absolutely do everything in its power to kill him.
For all he knew, one of the people on the Empty Throne might personally get involved. And with the World Government's accumulated strength, Chaos could count on his fingers and still see no chance of winning. He wouldn't
