"Cough, cough."
His throat tasted of blood, and he suddenly spat out a mouthful of it.
A large hand reached out of the meteor crater in the distance. Whitebeard spat blood and leaped out, his breathing somewhat ragged.
His iconic mustache was gone, and blood trickled from his body.
Whitebeard looked calmly up at Chaos, his body swaying inexplicably.
Chaos also got to his feet, shoved aside the surrounding rubble, and let out a heavy breath.
It had been a long time since he'd felt this way.
Exhilarating.
The last time, during his battle with Kaido in Wano Country, there had been pressure, but not enough to make him feel he was facing death.
But now there was.
Even after four years, there was still a gap between him and Whitebeard. But it was no longer as wide as the one during the Enel incident.
He had the ability to injure Whitebeard.
Even with Whitebeard currently at his peak.
Chaos knew full well that killing him was unrealistic.
On the other hand, Whitebeard had the ability to kill him.
But it wouldn't be easy.
Gai had this bizarre confidence.
At the end of the day, Whitebeard was still too strong at this point in time.
If Betty were still here, maybe a buff could help close the gap in a short time. But who knew whether Whitebeard had something up his sleeve?
Whoosh, whoosh~
Sand and stones swirled in the wind as the two faced each other across the abyss.
Their auras kept surging, forming two towering mountains that weighed heavily on everyone and made it hard to breathe.
Without a sound,
Chaos vanished.
He struck first!
Blood dripped from Whitebeard's broad chest. His hands were shrouded in white pressure fields, and without even looking, he punched to his right.
