Five months slipped by!
A lot had happened on the seas during those five months.
For instance, the legendary Gold City appeared in different parts of the world from time to time. It might be in one of the four seas, the first half of the Grand Line, or the second half. Each appearance sent shockwaves through the surrounding waters.
Countless pirate thugs, wealthy merchants, and nobles wanted to visit.
Some lost their entire fortunes there, while others won mountains of money. Some couldn't tear themselves away from the Red Light District and the casinos, while others won fame and fortune in the arena, their names soon making headlines.
It was hailed as both heaven and hell. As long as you had courage and luck, you could get anything you wanted.
Aside from the news about Gold City,
there were reports of the Beasts Pirates, Big Mom Pirates, Explosion Pirates, and many other crews fighting over territory in the second half of the Grand Line. Every day, they were either fighting or on their way to fight.
Then there were the World Destroyer, Lone Red, and Ochoku. These legendary Great Pirates appeared and disappeared without a trace, occasionally making a show of their presence.
The Nightmare Pirates, Bind Pirates, and Landis Pirates were also rising rapidly.
And the bounties on familiar and unfamiliar pirates alike—Ghost Princess Lorian, Slime Person Delice, Buffalo Aquit, and others—kept climbing higher and higher.
Every day, the new generation slaughtered one another or attacked and looted each other for money, fame, and power.
It was nothing unusual.
