Time rewound to earlier.
After becoming one of the Shichibukai, Hancock had achieved her goal.
In return, however, she had to help the Marines take down certain pirate crews.
It was mandatory.
The reason she was pursuing the Dog Pirates this time was that a while ago, Dog King Bugga had robbed a warship led by a Marine Headquarters lieutenant commander. Hancock had happened to be in the surrounding waters.
Then a Rear Admiral from Marineford contacted her and asked her to deal with the Dog Pirates.
The Dog Pirates were no match for one of the Shichibukai. After clashing with her and realizing they couldn't win, they began their escape.
Unfortunately, their luck was terrible.
They ran into Baccarat, who was drifting alone at sea.
It was like a spark falling into dry tinder. A fire was bound to start.
All one could say was that the Dog Pirates were out of luck.
They had run into two women they couldn't afford to provoke.
Psshh, psshh~
A large amount of high-temperature steam spread out, while a suffocating pressure rose from Baccarat. Her aura was so imposing that no one dared even take a deep breath.
Hancock looked solemn.
This woman before her was no ordinary opponent.
But so what? If someone provoked her, she'd simply deal with them while she was at it!
In an instant,
a domineering will emerged from Hancock, forcefully sweeping toward Baccarat in an attempt to suppress her aura with Conqueror's Haki.
Black-and-red lightning appeared out of nowhere and crackled intermittently.
"Conqueror's Haki."
Baccarat's long hair fluttered. She looked a little surprised.
But~
It was too weak.
This was the weakest Conqueror's Haki she had encountered so far.
Even the foolish man's Conqueror's Haki hadn't stirred her at all, let alone this paltry little display.
