The sun rose.
A new day had begun.
At the edge of the garden on the top floor of the Gaia Building, Chaos stood with his back to everyone, gazing out at the boundless dawn. His face was expressionless, as if he'd shut himself away from the world.
In the garden pavilion.
Several figures sat drinking morning tea, watching Chaos with his back to them.
"What's going on?"
"It's been all night!"
"BOSS seems to be questioning his whole existence."
"Shut himself away?"
Ivankov, Baccarat, and Betty chimed in one after another, all completely baffled.
That idiot of a man had clearly been dealt a heavy blow.
He'd been standing there without moving since last night.
"What exactly happened last night?"
"Why did we end up outside, and why was BOSS so badly injured?"
"There are very few people in this sea who could hurt BOSS that badly."
Stussy, Kuma, and Bonis furrowed their brows in thought.
Last night had been far too strange.
In theory, there was no way they wouldn't have noticed such a terrifying battle.
But in the end, they'd only seen the result. They didn't know the cause or what had happened along the way. It made no sense!
It felt like they'd lost a chunk of their memories.
And now that idiot of a man was standing there, shutting himself away and questioning his whole existence, without saying a word.
He'd downed a bottle of life potion, then stood there gazing into the distance ever since.
Right up until now.
It was the first time any of them had seen BOSS like this, and it was taking them a while to get used to it.
