Before the words had even left his mouth, Qiu Chengyi's right hand suddenly swelled.

It grew several times longer than before, then stretched into segments that writhed like a centipede's body.

A moment later, the grotesque arm swung into Liang Yuntian as he charged.

Bam!

With a strange cry, Liang Yuntian was flung dozens of meters away like a baseball. He crashed headfirst into a nearby building, punching a deep hole into its rotting wood.

But his appetite seemed to grant him endless strength. In just a second, he shook himself and climbed out of the hole, charging once more.

By then, the last scraps of flesh had fallen from his face. His whole skeleton was bone-white, and he had completely shifted to moving on all fours.

More than a dozen scorpion-tail spines swayed above his back.

This time, however, countless arms on the ground blocked and dragged at his steps.

Qiu Chengyi had clearly grown much more adept at controlling them.

At last, Liang Yuntian reached him. Before he could attack, Qiu Chengyi's mutated arm wrapped around him.

"You brainless thing!"

Staring at Liang Yuntian as he continued to struggle, Qiu Chengyi gave a disdainful sneer.

Crack!

Liang Yuntian's back spines had only just taken aim when Qiu Chengyi snapped them off before he could strike.

Crack, crack!

Amid Liang Yuntian's cries, the brittle sounds rang out one after another.

His limbs were broken one by one, and even the ribs across his chest were crushed into pieces.

"That's a pretty unique look. No need to destroy you, I think. I can find a place to hang you up later."

Qiu Chengyi toyed with Liang Yuntian's remains, then turned to Fu Qian.

"I'm sorry, but it looks like your plan failed."

"Have you realized how important strength is now?"
