"Wasting food is shameful."
Fu Qian sighed regretfully, tossed his dinner into the trash, then pointed at the pile of toppled furniture.
"And if you do this, the landlord will keep your deposit when you move out."
Since there was no one else in the room, Fu Qian looked like he was arguing with the air.
"This apartment belongs to Siren. Given what you did today, they probably won't hold it against you."
The next moment, the door opened on its own. A gloomy-looking middle-aged man stood outside, answering his complaint.
When Fu Qian looked over, the man gave him a slight nod in greeting.
"Truly extraordinary."
Without waiting for an invitation, the middle-aged man stepped inside and sat down across from him.
"Your mask is quite remarkable."
He pointed to the silvery-white mask on the table.
Fu Qian had taken it off while washing up earlier.
"To be able to conceal your presence to that extent... Just that one effect makes it priceless."
"Flattery won't get you anywhere. It's an achievement item, and it's not for sale."
As he spoke, Fu Qian picked up the mask and toyed with it, not minding that the man could see his real face.
"What should I call you?"
"Angui."
The middle-aged man answered just as directly.
His face and name were equally unfamiliar.
Fu Qian shook his head. The only thing he could say for certain was that the man before him was another demigod.
The third demigod he'd met since coming to the Wasteland.
"Are you with the Ji Clan?"
He made no effort to hide his ignorance, honestly confirming it with the other man.
"I'm the Ji Clan's representative in the Wasteland."
Angui didn't seem offended by Fu Qian's lack of recognition. He added the explanation in an even tone.
