"Get out first."
After being led into the storage room essential for school bullying, Fu Qian took a quick look around while Daniel was the last to enter.
Then Daniel spoke coldly to the other two.
"Even me—"
The guy who threw the ball looked a little reluctant, seemingly unhappy about being left out.
"Yes, all of you. Get out. I have something to discuss with our top student alone."
Daniel was quite insistent.
"Close the door and keep watch from a distance. Don't let anyone in."
It was clear that Daniel had some authority. After a brief internal struggle, the guy who threw the ball raised a fist and waved it at Fu Qian, then gave him a nasty grin.
"Good luck."
With that, he called to the other guy, and the two left the storage room together, closing the door behind them.
He was that confident?
Watching the whole thing unfold, Fu Qian couldn't help marveling at Daniel's confidence.
Then again, compared to Daniel's athletic build, Fu Qian was rather slender.
Not to mention, Daniel was watching him while pulling a garish yellow baseball bat out of a pile of junk.
The spotless bat stood out sharply against the dusty storage room.
Looked like it got plenty of use.
"From now on, I ask one question, you answer one question."
Daniel tapped the baseball bat against the floor in a steady rhythm, his words thick with menace.
"Just so you know, I'm in a terrible mood right now. If you hesitate for even a second, you might not like what happens next."
Understandable.
Fu Qian nodded knowingly.
Anyone interrupted at a moment like that probably wouldn't be in a good mood.
"So what do you want to know?"
Fu Qian gestured for Daniel to ask whatever he wanted.
