Calling someone over to dream...
It was clear that the pitchman once again found Fu Qian's answer beyond the pale.
Quite apart from how bizarre his reasoning was, this sort of cross-dimensional operation was genuinely hard to believe for someone with no friends in that world.
"In that world, the Gulad family is an ancient clan with a history spanning over a thousand years. Its resources and heritage are beyond your imagination."
With a long sigh, Fu Qian looked at him as though he were dealing with a fool.
"You actually think that after such an unbelievable experience, they wouldn't have a way to shield their family members from the nightmares?"
"Based on what I knew of Taylor's personality, I did everything I could along the way to steer him toward keeping it secret while planting questions he'd find intriguing, maximizing the chance he'd come back of his own accord."
"I thought you'd improve after I left last time. But you're still just sitting around waiting for someone to carry you—oh, right, you learned to play hard to get and verbally claim you're not interested."
"Have you said enough?"
The pitchman finally lost his temper, incensed and embarrassed.
"Hmm... I suppose I have."
This time, however, Fu Qian nodded slightly and actually agreed with him.
"What?"
Clearly confused by that response, the pitchman instinctively looked around, as though worried he'd unknowingly fallen into another trap.
At the same time, Fu Qian was looking at the top of its head.
A phantom eye had appeared there as well.
The workplace really was a battlefield. All that talk about senior partners and the like was a lie.
Faced with this sudden change, Fu Qian couldn't help reflecting on it.
