Idiopathic hearing loss.
In the past, it had always been a family member's health issue. This time, it was Left Wheel's own.
The discomfort in the left ear began yesterday morning. When it hadn't improved today, Left Wheel went to see a doctor. The examination revealed low-frequency hearing loss, and the doctor sternly ordered Left Wheel to get more rest and begin the first course of treatment with medication.
Poor Left Wheel had always thought that the left ear was the more sensitive one.
To give it the best chance of recovering, Left Wheel would have to adjust the update schedule for a while.
Specifically, Left Wheel would keep to two chapters a day, while bonus chapters and debt repayments would all be put on hold.
Of course, Left Wheel knew that might not seem like much of a change... But with Left Wheel's schedule, adding one more chapter often meant more than a fifty percent increase in workload, so the initial thought was that this adjustment should help a little.
If difficulties came up later and the doctor's orders required more intensive cooperation, Left Wheel would take additional leave.
Left Wheel had let the readers down, and wanted to apologize to them.
This book began in March 2022. More than two years of running the marathon had taken a toll on both body and mind. Please allow Left Wheel a little time to adjust, so the story can continue in better shape.
P.S. Left Wheel will post one extra chapter today as a small token of appreciation. And, while we're at it, happy Qixi Festival!
Some readers might say they're single, but love isn't a holiday essential. Loving yourself is.
Let's encourage each other. ;D
