Chapter 1836: The Dock
The academy's lively atmosphere continued to build.
That parting meteor shower had actually struck the academy, the Night Watchers, and the Native Council all at once.
While Su Gao examined herself, Fu Qian lounged comfortably in his seat.
Though it was only a temporary seat, he had chosen it carefully.

From what he'd seen on the three floors he'd passed through, it was hard to believe that the people in those shattered amber shells had survived the catastrophe under the shelter's protection and then regained their freedom.
With bodies that fragile, they'd have been utterly helpless against an ark that had developed a will of its own.
Not to mention the ark's apparent all-out effort to create a plan for their rebirth. Its success rate looked appallingly low.
As for where they'd gone...
Fu Qian suspected that some of them had become the attackers he'd encountered.

But unless the unexplored corners—or the people among the feathers that hadn't been blown away on the second floor—were packed extremely densely, the numbers still didn't add up.
