Its concealment was quite impressive, but unfortunately, I'd planted a tracker.
As I'd remarked earlier, with An and White's fusion, its tier had been rising rapidly. Its methods and abilities were far beyond what you'd expect from an Intermediate Tier.
And this place was clearly its home turf. If it was determined to stay hidden, even I would have a hard time finding it.
But having something else in its belly changed things.
The Wriggling Seed was a little gift from Lord Yarakir, who had tearfully bid us farewell when we left the Nightmare Corridor.
It made use of wounds in the same way: plant a seed inside one, and it could serve as a target for Extreme Hunger Infection to leap to. Given enough time, it would eventually hatch.
Like the one currently tearing its mother apart from the inside.
I'd been worried earlier about whether the Wriggling Seed would work on the Scarlet Angel.
As it turned out, it didn't just work—it had grown remarkably well.
Compared to the previous time I'd used it on a Miracle Creature, this seed had practically been force-grown. It had begun flourishing the moment it was planted.
On top of that, it had benefited from this unusual form and was itself in a Scarlet Angel state.
Under these conditions, tracking down the Plague Knight was easy, thanks to my ability to sense it.
The latter's desperate dash out might even have had something to do with its pregnancy symptoms.
Unfortunately, it was still a little too late.
The hatched egg's behavior confirmed the second half of the Wriggling Seed's description: once fully grown, it would prioritize its host as a target.
As a result, the giant dragon the Plague Knight had become was in quite a sorry
