At certain special moments, people tend to have more thoughts and feelings.

With the book now past its halfway point, I decided to take advantage of this rather special evening to chat with everyone a little more and look back on the nearly three years since I started writing.

For Revolver, one phrase feels especially apt: it seems like a lifetime ago.

When I nervously posted that first chapter, I could never have imagined this moment.

But I have to say, serializing this book has given Revolver a whole new way of looking at time, and a much more personal understanding of what it means to be there for one another.

Thank you all for being there for me. I'm lucky to have been there for you, too.

More than one reader has asked whether Revolver works in writing.

Actually, I don't. Revolver has a very ordinary job in a very ordinary field—just something to make a living.

I rarely get to help anyone, and I don't feel that I create much value.

I studied science and engineering, and even the essay portion of the college entrance exam gave me a headache. I just happened to read a wide variety of books as a kid.

Then one day, years later, while I was thinking about life, I had the sudden idea that I could write a story.

Giving a group of fictional characters a reason to exist in people's minds seemed like an incredibly cool thing to do. I even had this inexplicable confidence that I could do it well.

And so this special chapter of my life began, and it's still going.
