Huh?
Stos was clearly not the only one taken aback at that moment.
It was no surprise. Given the level of detail in Su Gao's report, it must have mentioned the discrepancy between the flow of time inside and outside, and probably even given an estimate of the perceived ratio.
As transcendent beings, they didn't need clocks or anything of the sort. Their own bodily functions were enough to tell them how much time had passed.
The brightness around them might have increased in sudden leaps, but strictly speaking, they had been inside for quite a while.
Compared with the report, perhaps they were still short of three days, but there was no way it had been less than half a day...
The theoretical bad news Professor Fu had just offered left them with a rather complicated feeling.
"How confident are you?"
At last, Stos was the first to ask. He still had his weapon ready in hand.
"Not very. If you hadn't asked for my opinion, it definitely wouldn't have been enough to convince you."
Fu Qian answered frankly and without hesitation.
"Even now, all I'm suggesting is that we consider waiting a little longer and see what happens."
The little trick about keeping time hadn't been a lie, of course. But Fu Qian could hardly tell Lord Stos the real reason: the Warehouse had been keeping time for him.
The flow of time inside the Ark wasn't reliable. After his first experience, he was fairly certain of that.
But he still couldn't get a handle on why it was unreliable.
That left them with a question. Given that the Native Council had likely been in possession of the Ark for quite some time, was it possible they had figured out the reason?
He wasn't worrying over nothing.
