That was a good question, and it was only natural to ask.
Fu Qian understood the demigod Aiko's feelings perfectly.
After they had decided to wait and see what happened, the situation had changed far too quickly.
One moment there had been nothing but emptiness; the next, the scene had shifted again and again. The strange, fantastical changes were already hard to take in, and now the sight before them was causing a direct mental shock.
It was an unpleasant shock, too. No one could be in a good mood after that.
"This ship seems to possess a certain transcendence of time and space. It may be a place that once existed."
Fu Qian generally tried to be humble, but Aiko's exclamation had prompted Lord Stos to look his way. So he didn't refuse to offer his opinion.
"Of course, the fact that it once existed doesn't necessarily mean it was part of the real world. The mental resonance it's causing seems a little too strong."
He pointed to his head.
"Are you saying we haven't just traveled far into the past, but may have entered something like a dream or an illusion? Then is this ship real or imaginary?"
Whether or not she agreed with him, at least someone was willing to engage. Aiko considered Fu Qian's answer seriously, but found it a little too abstract to accept.
"Hard to say. I'm only making a guess based on what I've observed."
He understood her confusion, but Fu Qian didn't want to jump to any more conclusions.
"My guess remains the same: this ship may originally have been real. But because of some unusual transformation, or perhaps because of its nature, it has wandered in this transcendent state for a long time, only to be discovered under extremely rare circumstances.
