Long Night Echoes
In the shattered Gods' Burial Ground, were the tides that surged from time to time actually connected to the Long Night a thousand years ago?
Considering the many deities who fell during that period of history, it wasn't all that surprising to Fu Qian.
The strange thing now was that, despite his own rank being a tier higher, he could barely feel the tides Su Gao described.
Was her perception really that strong, or was there some other special reason?
He'd chased her all this way because he wanted a glimpse of the mysteries of a thousand years ago.
And the reason he hadn't stopped Su Gao's final adventure was partly out of respect for her principles, and partly because he'd considered her unusual constitution.
The echoes of the Long Night might bring some special benefit.
Of course, she'd also make a perfect subject for observation, helping him understand the truth of the Long Night.
That's right. Su Gao's volunteer role was still ongoing.
But even so, the contrast was far more pronounced than he'd expected.
Fu Qian could feel some of the chaos Su Gao had mentioned.
This night was nowhere near as peaceful and quiet as it appeared on the surface. Even the scenes in the little girl's dreams, though they seemed exaggerated, were clearly far less hostile than this place.
For the simplest example, after sitting here for only a little while, Fu Qian had already spotted more than one "fragment" in the night sky.
Of course, the sky hadn't literally shattered into pieces. Rather, the stars in different regions seemed to be following entirely different rules of motion.
Everything was in chaos.
To use an analogy, it was like stirring a tank of water covered in floating ice. It still looked clear, but
