Was it really necessary to react so strongly just because I got distracted and looked around a little?
Fu Qian had reason to doubt his current identity.
Even now, though he had already returned to quiet contemplation, he could still see in a reflection to one side that the female believer with her hair coiled atop her head was still watching him, unwilling to give up.
If she was only reacting to his lack of focus, that seemed a bit too severe, especially when she herself didn't seem particularly serious.
