Mathematical Bliss (Twenty-Five)
The dimensions and feel were both remarkably consistent. He lay perfectly straight, with not even enough room to sit up.
In the space of a moment, Fu Qian had felt his way over every inch of himself. The conclusion was that, apart from the lack of windows, this was remarkably similar to when he had first awakened in the Realm of Ultimate Bliss.
But why?
Had he died in the Incense Hall and been taken away to be buried?
Of course not. Aside from that not fitting the pattern of what had happened so far, he had just felt both knees, and they were perfectly fine.
And that wasn't the only change. His clothes had gone from that robe to a finely tailored suit.
Not to mention, judging by the feel of his facial features, he could practically picture what he looked like now.
So he had turned back into Old Master Lu?
That was right. Not only had he appeared in a different place, Fu Qian could almost be certain that in every respect, he had returned to the way he'd been at the very start of the mission—except the mission hadn't restarted.
And if that was really the case, then combined with the sensation of "waking up," it seemed to prove, to some extent, that his reverse maneuver in the Incense Hall had indeed been the right answer.
His thoughts raced, and Fu Qian quickly arrived at a somewhat optimistic conclusion: he might have advanced another step.
The depths of darkness really were the way out. A place deeper than the inhuman cycle led to an even higher heaven.
Though the relationship between these levels of heaven seemed rather subtle.
He had to "wake up" from the lower level. It was practically like the difference
