"Has it always been like this?"
Old Man seemed to twitch at the corner of his eye, but in the end, he still managed not to lose his temper.
Never mind the conspicuously relaxed posture. Just from Fu Qian's tone, it was hard to interpret his words as pure sympathy. There seemed to be much more gloating than pity.
But Old Man clearly understood that this wasn't the time to act on impulse. The next moment, he sat down beside Fu Qian and asked quietly,
"Otherwise? What did that guy just say to you?"
Fu Qian tossed back a casual question, then took a hard sip from the dark green drink in his hand, a local favorite. He seemed pleased with his choice.
It had a distinctive flavor. For a folk product to earn such a favorable opinion on the first try was already quite impressive.
"Members only. Not open to the public."
Old Man seemed fairly honest. After a moment's hesitation, he answered truthfully.
"You can call me San Hao. And what should I call you, sir?"
The next moment, he introduced himself voluntarily—though this time, he wasn't being entirely honest.
They had just toured a popular attraction together. They hadn't talked much, but Fu Qian knew that wasn't his name.
A Lian's identity might have been fake, but Fu Qian also believed this man would hardly reveal his real name to a suspicious stranger.
So the most likely explanation was that, despite the look on his face suggesting he wanted to ask for advice, he had encrypted his identity a second time.
Still, Old Man was planning something important, so a little caution was understandable.
"Mr. San Hao... not bad."
As an easygoing person, Fu Qian didn't mind. He simply used the name the other man had chosen.
