"Are you really that targeted?"
Fu Qian was quite curious about the Witch's explanation, but his hands never stopped moving.
The contamination from the "Other Shore" attribute seemed to have been caused by him and the Witch repeatedly jumping back and forth.
Yet they had relied on it, to some extent, to find their way to the Nightmare Corridor. And what they'd gained there just happened to be able to clear the contamination?
Was this part of the First Generation Dark Moon's plan, too? Wasn't that a bit much?
"I wasn't sure at first, either. But after trying it, I found the resistance wasn't as great as I'd imagined. This power is in a rather unusual state to begin with."
Watching the blood drip from Fu Qian's hand, the Witch gave a slight shake of her head, seeming to think it probably hadn't been deliberately planned.
"What makes it unusual?"
The blood quickly soaked into the scroll, and a faint glow appeared across its surface.
"It's hard to describe. It seems not quite real, and therefore not quite as sublime. Perhaps you can study it more when you get back. Did you feel it?"
The Witch's answer was clearly very carefully considered.
Before Fu Qian could ask anything else, she abruptly changed the subject.
"I did."
Their conversation jumped around a lot, though it still couldn't compete with the Pope himself.
Fu Qian nodded as he looked at the empty room.
That was right. The moment she'd asked that question, the Witch had vanished on the spot.
Fortunately, he knew where she'd gone. Fu Qian turned and looked toward the chaise longue.
"Excellent."
The next moment, a figure slowly appeared there.
