"Unfortunately, it's essentially a part of me, so it can't pass through barriers."
She even seemed a little regretful that she couldn't let the Knight take it back.
"That's all right."
Fu Qian, sitting nearby, shook his head, signaling that the Witch needn't feel bad.
But just as he finished speaking, his body suddenly stiffened.
A lump of flesh slid smoothly out through a gap in the armor.
"I can leave this behind."
Of course, it wasn't some hidden injury flaring up. He was simply taking off the armor.
The business here was done, so it made sense to switch out of combat mode, right?
Naturally, Fu Qian quickly transformed into human form and remembered his social obligations, conjuring up a pair of greaves at the same time.
"This should be easier to use than that handprint, right?"
Not only was the armor covered in wounds, it was also stained with plenty of blood. The blood was much fresher, too, so it should work better than the painting for locating the Extreme Hunger Infection later.
"That should work. I'll do my best to preserve its vitality."
Fu Qian's move was clearly unexpected, but after looking it over, the Witch soon showed her appreciation.
Before returning home, the Templar Knight had even left the armor here to guard the place. For a moment, the Dark Moon Cathedral looked much more like the real thing.
"Thanks. Could you preserve these things for me, too?"
Clatter. Fu Qian soon tossed out a few more items.
He'd gone back specifically to arm himself to the teeth for this trip through the corridor, and right now he had nearly as much stuff on him as he
