It even had a double-barrel design.
That's right. Fu Qian had chosen the only ranged weapon.
Its overall design was just as old-fashioned as everything around it, but it still looked like it packed a punch.
"Are you sure?"
The receptionist looked incredulous when he noticed what Fu Qian was doing.
"Is there a problem?"
Fu Qian asked curiously as he stepped forward, picked it up, and examined it closely.
It had quite a bit of heft to it—much heavier than his Mercy.
"Maybe a little... It's powerful, but it can only hold four rounds at a time."
The receptionist didn't stop Fu Qian. He simply explained in a cool voice.
"Then I'll just reload it more often."
Fu Qian didn't think that was much of a problem.
"There are only four bullets, too."
The receptionist added without batting an eye.
The quality of all these "masterpieces" seemed to be going down. Had all the money for supplies been embezzled?
There really were no spare bullets in the box, but to have no stock anywhere else seemed a bit excessive.
"Because nobody ever picked it?"
Fu Qian casually guessed at the reason.
"Exactly. People prefer weapons they can use to slash endlessly."
The receptionist confirmed his guess, and it sounded perfectly reasonable.
The role was similar to that of a cleaner, with no especially dangerous situations expected. Giving up mobility for a little extra distance hardly seemed like a worthwhile trade.
And if nobody ever chose it, there wasn't much point in making more ammunition.
"Well, someone's picked it now."
Fu Qian declared his final choice, showing the receptionist some sympathy as he did. He had no intention of putting the gun down again.
"Then you'd better save it for a finishing shot. You can't kill a shadow completely
