The Battle with Mephisto

"This is the Emperor's power!"

As Auston transformed, the space Mephisto had created shattered.

The appearance of Xing Tian Armor materialized before all the Eternals.

At the sight of the unfamiliar armor, everyone erupted into excitement.

Armor Power—this was that one's power.

It was the consensus among all living beings.

Only that one could forge armor in such a form!

Chapter 33: The Battle with Mephisto

"So it really is the Emperor's power!"

Mephisto gazed at Xing Tian Armor, his eyes burning with fervor.

Huang Yun had not appeared in the multiverse for a long time.

Although they did not know what had happened, it was good news for them.

Looking at Xing Tian Armor, Mephisto pondered how he should study it.

He could sense that an even greater power dwelled within Xing Tian Armor.

It was at least far stronger than what it had displayed so far.

"It's mine!"

Mephisto could hardly wait to claim Xing Tian Armor and analyze the composition of its power.

So far, the Bright Realm Dimension had revealed only three armors.

But every one of them had been immensely powerful.

From the followers Dormammu had manipulated, they knew there were five armors in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

One of them was the flame armor Huang Yun had worn when he defeated Arishem.

It was known as the Five Elements Armor.

The other four were Elemental Armors, hidden on Earth.

They were armors Gaia, the Earth Mother, had commissioned Huang Yun to create.

They were slightly weaker than the Five Elements Armor, but still rare treasures.

But this brand-new armor that had appeared among the Eternals today was one he had never seen or heard of.

That meant it was a completely new power.

"Does it house the power of the sun?"

Auston was strong in his armor, but Mephisto did not consider him a threat.

"Shape-shifting Teleportation!"

Once he put on the armor, some of its abilities automatically entered Auston's mind.

He had already been a capable fighter, and with Xing Tian Armor's power, his strength had surged to nearly God King level.

That was despite his not having adapted to Xing Tian Armor or learned to work in harmony with it.

His speed was like teleportation, dazzling the onlookers.

Mephisto watched Xing Tian Armor charge toward him and smiled.

"Buzz!"

Hellfire engulfed the entire battlefield!

Even the Eternals could feel their souls burning.

The excruciating pain sent them retreating from the battlefield.

Xing Tian Armor had high resistance to fire.

It faced Hellfire with ease.

The two clashed in close combat.

Mephisto considered himself a mage.

But as the Lord of Hell, his physical body in his demonic form was absurdly strong.

Xing Tian Armor's attacks barely bothered him.

Even after leaving his dimension and manifesting his true form, Mephisto wielded power at the peak of God King level.

His strength was astonishing.

That was despite Huang Yun having laid a restriction on this universe, suppressing Mephisto's combat power.

"Boom!"

One casual punch nearly knocked Auston out of his armor.

The gap between their strength was still far too great.

"Fire Execution Sword!"

Realizing he could not hurt Mephisto with his bare hands, Auston summoned Xing Tian Armor's weapon.

"A weapon like the Aurora Sword?"

Mephisto knew that armors came with their own weapons.

That was exactly why he was so wary of Huang Yun.

The Aurora Sword and Aurora Shield clearly did not match Flame Dragon Armor.

And Huang Yun had defeated Arishem in an instant.

Mephisto had guessed that Huang Yun had even more powerful forms.

That was why Mephisto coveted Huang Yun's power and had long been looking for a chance to analyze it.

The armors on Midgard were untouchable, but the armors elsewhere in the universe should be fair game, right?

"Fire Execution: Heaven and Earth Cleave!"

Auston opened with his finishing move.

He knew the difference in power between him and Mephisto was immense. If he wanted to hurt his opponent, he had to catch him off guard.

A streak of crimson light struck Mephisto.

"His power truly is irresistible."

Mephisto smiled as he felt the pain in his body.

It was only an armor, one of Huang Yun's derivative powers.

And yet it had displayed such strength.

Mephisto now believed that signing an alliance pact with Dormammu had definitely been the right choice.

Hellfire roared around them. Mephisto feared that if he delayed, things might change.

Although Huang Yun had been absent from the multiverse for a long time, who knew if he might suddenly show up?

"The gap is still too great."

Auston sighed.

He was still too weak. Even with that great lord's power, he could not stand against a Dimensional Demon God.

"Boom!"

After a violent explosion, Mephisto struck Auston and severely wounded him.

Xing Tian Armor broke apart and reverted to a crystal.

"Even though he's an Eternal, he's still too inexperienced."

Huang Yun shook his head.

Three Wonders Armor and Asura Armor placed great demands on their Armor Summoner's willpower.

Put simply, if you believed you were strong, the armor would respond by granting you great power.

If one had to put it into numbers, it was half physical strength and half mental strength.

The body determined the lower limit; the mind, the upper limit.

"He's mine!"

Mephisto stared eagerly at Xing Tian Armor, which had reverted to a crystal.

"Esteemed Lord of Hell, what do you intend to do with my follower?"

Huang Yun certainly would not let Mephisto simply take Xing Tian Armor away.

At the sound of that familiar voice, Mephisto's outstretched hand froze.
