December 4. Heavy rain.
Taking advantage of the downpour, I met up with several Corpse Kings in an underground pit we had dug as a temporary hideout and compared the intelligence we'd gathered.
Gathering intelligence proved far more difficult than I'd imagined. I'd originally planned to infect a few Zhutian people with the zombie virus and pry information out of them, but every Zhutian person had a biological ID. Once infected, they'd be discovered by the military in no time, exposing our whereabouts. Then we'd have no way out.
After days of covert investigation, we'd finally figured out the distribution of spirit-stone deposits on this planet, as well as its military deployments.
On the surface, the planet had six spirit-stone veins, each guarded by warships. There were 120 warships in total—not a force we could possibly stand against head-on.
But in reality, all six veins were branches extending from a hidden seventh vein.
As long as we could detonate the seventh vein, all six others would explode along with it.
The seventh spirit-stone vein lay deep underground. The Zhutian civilization lacked the technology to mine it safely, so it had remained only partially mined.
I'd come here to destroy the spirit-stone veins in the first place, so I didn't need to worry about all that.
I also had a rough plan for setting off the explosion. I could use the zombie virus to control a small number of Zhutian people, then have them take control of the warships and bombard the surface to expose the seventh vein. After that, they'd bombard the vein until it detonated. While the veins exploded, we could commandeer the warships and make our escape.
To pull off the entire plan, we'd have to move fast. The moment the military discovered our invasion, they'd have no
