In the cold, desolate universe, a streak of light tore through the silence. It flew faster than any spaceship, twisting space in its wake. It was Lu Yang, piloting the black-canopied boat.
The journey home wasn't boring. The Undying Fairy was with him.
The closer he got to Blue Planet, the more tense and apprehensive Lu Yang became. That was part of why he had gone to the Candle Sky Civilization to deal with Gu Yu and to the Spirit Stone Planet to retrieve his diary.
Otherwise, Lu Yang could have visited Blue Planet first and dealt with those loose ends later.
"Is that your hometown?" The Undying Fairy's voice pulled Lu Yang from his thoughts.
The azure planet revolved slowly through space, like a dazzling gemstone in the vast starry sky—dreamlike and unreal.
Lu Yang hurriedly pulled back on the black-canopied boat, nearly overshooting Earth.
The boat dropped out of its lightspeed and warp states, appearing as if from nowhere. A satellite happened to catch the sight, nearly making the veteran experts and professors at the space agency goggle in disbelief.
"Good heavens, what am I seeing?"
"An ancient person sailing through space in a little boat?"
The space agency erupted in cries of astonishment and descended into chaos. Only then did Lu Yang notice the satellite nearby and realize he'd been reckless. He put the black-canopied boat away and leaped alone into Earth's atmosphere.
"Switch the feed! Track that humanoid life-form!" a veteran expert at the space agency shouted. His young apprentice jumped; he'd never heard his master raise his voice like that.
But they soon lost track of Lu Yang, leaving them to stamp their feet in frustration.
Lu Yang streaked through the clouds, picking up speed as he descended, like a meteor cutting across the sky.
