After getting Jianmu drunk, I finally got him to tell the truth.
The reason he, a tree spirit, stood with humanity instead of the Demon Race was that, ever since he became conscious, a group of humans had lived at the roots of his true form. Children climbed up and down him, while adults bowed in worship, treating him as their faith.
One day, several great demons appeared and shattered that peace. He watched helplessly as they devoured the humans living beneath him. The adults prayed to him, and the children wept as they died, asking why he hadn't protected them. But he was powerless. After all, he was only a tree.
At last, he erupted, broke free of the shackles of his true form, and used it to kill those great demons. But it was already too late. There was no one left beneath him.
How dull. I shouldn't have asked him about it. The mood at what should have been a lovely gathering turned rather awkward.

In the end, I still had to work out the realm beyond Tribulation Transcendence on my own—the Dao Fruit Realm. Jianmu and the others really couldn't be relied on.
I'd better hurry and tell them the good news.
Not one of them came to help when I was working out the new realm, yet the moment I started teaching them about the realm beyond Tribulation Transcendence, they were all more excited than I was.
So be it. How could my talent shine without them?
After some discussion, Jianmu wanted to condense a timeline Dao Fruit, Shaohao wanted to condense a Heavenly Tribulation Dao Fruit, and Huozheng wanted to condense a Five Elements Dao Fruit... They had plenty of ideas.
What should my Dao Fruit be?
