The situation was clear now. The cosmic overlord, the Zhutian Civilization, relied on spirit-energy technology to devour other civilizations, and they were powerless to fight back—including Blue Star.
With Blue Star's current level of technology, we weren't qualified to fight in space. We couldn't possibly seize air superiority from the Zhutian Civilization. Opposing them would be like throwing an egg against a rock, with not the slightest chance of victory.
Fortunately, I had now brought seven Corpse Kings under my command. Every zombie under their control could be used by me. These zombies, who had once plunged Blue Star into misery, had become a weapon against the Zhutian Civilization.
During the more than six months I was away, the doctor had followed my instructions and kept the survivor zone running smoothly. Humans and zombies lived together in harmony here, and quite a few people had chosen to join us.
However, the conflict between humans and zombies had been simmering for a long time. When the other safe zones learned that we could control zombies, they became extremely wary of us—even hostile.
Some safe zones were convinced that we had technology for controlling zombies and wanted to seize it for themselves.
Earlier, the Corpse Kings had all gone to take part in the Corpse King Tournament. Until the ultimate Corpse King was chosen, all zombies had been ordered to stay put. Humans didn't know why, but they noticed the zombies acting strangely. For them, this was a godsend: they could take the opportunity to search for supplies, expand their safe zones, build higher walls, develop special medicines, and... attack my safe zone.
Human adventurers and soldiers took turns trying to breach my safe zone and get their hands on the so-called technology for controlling zombies.
Fortunately, the doctor
