Old Monkey remained extremely calm.
Pointing at several elderly monkeys present, he spoke plainly.
Every old monkey he pointed to silently lowered his head. Some said nothing, some sighed softly, while others picked up the wine on the table and gulped it down.

Old Monkey pointed toward the vast ocean beyond the cave. "Out in the world, humans have seven emotions and six desires, birth, aging, sickness, and death. All living things under heaven are governed by Qilin, Phoenix, True Dragon, and human kings, and freedom is hard to come by. Yet we have been able to roam these mountains freely for so many years. That is already a tremendous fortune!"
"In my view, what you said isn't entirely true!"
Unwilling to yield, the Monkey King said, "Though we are not ruled by human kings or bound by dragons, phoenixes, and qilins, once we die, our souls return to the Netherworld and are still governed by the ghosts and gods
