Nion had rushed over after hearing the news. The moment she saw her father lying in the hospital bed, she broke free of the bodyguard's hand, ran to the bedside, and threw herself beside him, sobbing.
"Dad, what happened to you?"
Looking at his daughter, Light's thoughts drifted for a moment, but he still reached out and gently rubbed her head.
"Don't worry, sweetheart. Dad got sick this time. I'll be fine after resting for a while."
"Really?"
"Of course it's true. Why would Dad lie to you?"
"You're lying. Dad is always lying!" Nion said with a deeply furrowed brow, her face full of displeasure.
Light did not argue. He simply smiled and gently patted her head.
After thinking for a moment, he asked, "Nion, why did you suddenly want to try divination?"
"Hmm?" Nion looked a little confused, but after giving it some serious thought, she answered, "I saw a divination show on TV and thought it was interesting, so I wanted to try it myself."
Was it really that simple? Light found it difficult to understand.
Even now, he could not make up his mind about whether this Prophecy Poem could truly predict the future.
